Yup, he better not hold out. I think he'd be insane to do that especially since he is trying to be a starting WR...

LOL I have 2 years left on a contract that I signed, but now I want a better one. BS. When players start saying " Hey I had a bad season, can you take some of the money I was overpayed back." then I'll feel sory for them.

So you actually don't think Hester deserves more money?

And you are right, players do not offer to give money back, but they often are forced to renegotiate for less money.

Teams also bench players so they don't make escalator clause numbers during a losing season.

I think the holding out is lame, I think thats the general consensus.

But I also think the general consensus is that Hester has earned a raise.

No he's due for more $, than I can agree with. BUT, most of the time I dont think they should redo a contract till last year of deal. Too many times a player gets a new deal early then tanks.

I'm not worried about his injury... I am worried about the playing time he is missing. He was just having back spasms which, although uncomfortable, aren't that big of a deal...

But for a rookie, left tackle, first round pick who you are expecting to start the regular season to miss the first week of training camp... fuck... that is rough...

I'm concerned too. Wasn't this guy's back an issue heading into the draft?

I'm worried for a combination of both.
