2008 base pay $3.95 million plus $1 million from new deal
2009 base pay $4.95 million plus $1 million from new deal
2010 base pay $6.15 million plus $1 million from new deal
2011 base pay $7.35 million plus $1 million from new deal

New year

2012 base pay $7.5 million

Urlacher has workout bonuses worth $50,000 in 2008-2011 and there is a $500,000 workout bonus in 2012.


Man, he is getting paid well for a MLB.

And all for a guy who just had surgery on his neck and has a bad back that really nothing can be done for. Yeah. The Chicago Bears Linebacking core...the most selfish, self-centered and spoiled group in the NFL.

It actually does annoy me. These fuckers sign long term deals which are lucrative at the time...but then demand to be re-upped later. If that's what you want, sign a short term higher pay contract. It's not like the money is guaranteed in the NFL anyway (the NFLPA is the weakest union of the major sports).
