Dad played guitar in a local blues band and would keep us kids entertained with his playing/singing and his record collection. Mom was an Aretha devotee and loved Issac Hayes, Otis Redding, James and the Motown Sound (of course). I also love Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughan and Thelonious Monk, too.

I can't stand listening to Top 40 radio today....RANCID!

Otis Frank Billie yes i dig all those too...........That stuff just makes you feel.....Happy or sad it makes you feel,It enhances everything,puts a lil bounce in your step,makes you forget about the bullshit of everyday life for a bit..........That top 40 crap on the radio is just the opposite.....I cant even remember the last time i used the radio for something other than listening to games
