He did get a new backpack. I got him one of the smaller ones because, as you mentioned, most of them looked huge. He picked out a plain one that is called a sidewalk or sidewinder or something. Anyway, it has one strap and then one that goes around your stomach.
He was more excited about getting to wear his new shoes that we got last week. They are navy blue and orange (I helped pick out the colors). He was running around the store in them to see if they made him run faster. He wasn't able to wear them until today.[/b]
Aw, good. :) Reading that kind of thing puts a big ol' smile on my face. It makes me excited to go back to school - well, I'm back, but it makes me excited for the kids to come back. :) Let me know the full report of how his day goes, okay? I'm sure something cool happened that he won't be able to stop talking about - this could range from paste eating to a kid throwing the class pet out the window. Whatever it is, I wanna hear it. :)

Will do! I keep wondering what he is doing at the moment. I assume it has something to do with not keeping his hands to himself or something.

Have you ever seen that car commercial where the little girl is talking a mile a minute while the dad is trying to get her loaded into the car? Well that was what my drive home was like last evening. He sang 2 songs that they sang in class. His teacher plays the guitar. He got a yellow card because he was too talkative. He was really excited about lunch and recess. He couldn't remember his teacher's name so his brother told him to remember it like this. His name is Mr. Fant, like Ele"Fant". Mr. Elephant. I thought it was cute.
That was about the extent of it. Nobody in his class threw up or peed their pants or anything.

At this age, too.

Don't lump me in with you losers. TD was the one that peed his pants.
...but JC is right. Most of those kids are cooler than I am even now.
There was one boy that cried yesterday morning the whole time I was there. Seeing how I haven't grown up much since then, I lauged and pointed at him the whole time...just kidding.
