I was almost in the ditch this morning on the way to work. We had freezing rain followed by snow. YAY! =(
46 degrees, light snow falling - perfect Christmas Eve evening.
About the same here only no snow.

MOST OF THE SNOW AND ICE WHICH FELL LATE WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY SHOULD HAVE MELTED FROM THE ABOVE FREEZING TEMPERATURES AND RAINFALL... HOWEVER A FEW SLUSHY SPOTS MAY LINGER.
MUCH COLDER AIR WRAPPING AROUND LOW PRESSURE IN IOWA WILL SURGE INTO SOUTHERN WISCONSIN TONIGHT. TEMPERATURES WILL QUICKLY FALL BELOW FREEZING. AS TEMPERATURES FALL BACK INTO THE 20S... ANY RESIDUAL SLUSH AND STANDING WATER WILL FREEZE INTO SOLID SHEETS OF ICE. UNTREATED ROADS AND SIDEWAYS WILL BECOME ICY AND TREACHEROUS THIS EVENING... A SITUATION SOMETIMES CALLED A FLASH FREEZE.
OCCASIONAL LIGHT SNOW IS EXPECTED TONIGHT INTO SATURDAY... WITH ACCUMULATIONS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES POSSIBLE OVER A TWO DAY PERIOD INCLUDING SUNDAY. LAKE EFFECT SNOW MAY ALSO AFFECT THE AREA NORTH OF PORT WASHINGTON SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING... WHICH RESULT IN EVEN HIGHER SNOW TOTALS. TRAVEL COULD BECOME HAZARDOUS ON UNTREATED SURFACES AS WET SURFACES TURN ICY AND SNOW STARTS TO ACCUMULATE ON TOP OF IT.
