Name one thing you've actually done with Duct Tape aka duck tape

Everybody knows you can't get through your life without using Duct Tape at least one time. I was in the Army. In the Army we called it, "The tape that holds the Army together." In the Navy they call it, "Submarine repair tape." In the Air Force it's called, "Wing repair tape." I don't know what they call it in the Marines. Anybody know?

So what one thing have you used Duct Tape for in your lifetime. Please "stick" to just one use per posting. That way I can maybe make a list some time down the line.

Peach Tree Repair Device
I taped a severed branch back onto a peach tree that had blown over in a storm. It actually worked! The branch continued to support life for the rest of the season, and after I picked all of the peaches (my neighbor's by the way) the neighbor cut the branch off.

#1 - Used it to hold the filter/canister on my gas mask during a training exercise at Ft. Benning, GA.

The container had stripped threads, there were no extra's, and when the CS hit the lot of us, it worked great.

Made a two foot long roof gutter replacement, painted it white, you can't tell it apart from the rest of the system (albeit, from the ground looking up to it 15 feet above)
It's been through four Canadian winters - no problemo.

Used it to hem my pants.

Currently Holding the Toilet chain to the handle in my downstairs bathroom.

Holding the Batteries in my T.V. Remote. (how do I always loose the damn backs to these things??)

and my Favorite: I have a buddy who made a wallet completley out of Duct tape. no cardboard, paper, or leather. 100% duct tape.

Another term for it in the Army is "100 mile-an-hour tape". Got hot A rations in the field one time where they forgot the bag with all the plastic ware and plates. Ended up making bowls out of duck tape...worked awesome. No trash either, just crumpled 'em up and burned 'em.

Years ago, it held a bass drum head together (barely) as an emergency repair to get through a gig. I really broke the hell out of it. All the tape made it sound like ass, but the drunks didn't mind.
Also used it to temp repair a cymbal stand.

I used it to tape the soles of my football boots onto my boots. I had to replace the tape before each game because the studs kept breaking it, but I still managed to get a whole extra season out of 'em.

Have also used it in replacement of stitchers, works like a charm.

It held my headlight in place for 2 years before I got in an accident then had to replace the whole side of the vehicle.

2 years? thats a pretty good deal at about 1.7c a day
