    Took a gamble at hotwire.com. You know... they give you a great price, but they don't tell you the name of the hotel until AFTER you pay/book ("in order to offer such deep discounts...."). So... the $49.00 "deep discount" could be for the Hyatt, Hilton, Motel 6 or The Bates Motel for all you know. You pay your price, you take your chance...

    The wife wanted to gamble...

    $49.00 paid... processing.... processing.... processing...

    BAM!

    $49 + 19 taxes = $68.00 total got me the Westin O'Hare.

    I was kinda nervous, so I called the Westin and confirmed. Yep, the booking is complete at that price and already prepaid.

    I couldn't be happier with hotwire.com. Even though I know when I try it in the future for my own travel it'll be The Bates Motel.
