Yeah, but we dont pay the higher prices simply to "support their lifestyle," we pay them because there is a demand for what they do. Supply and demand. NFL can charge ridiculous amounts because it is (im guessing) the most profitable pro sports league in the country. High demand...so they charge more. If there werent as a high of a demand, then they couldnt charge those prices (a la UFL).

But yes, lockout hurts any league, since that automatically drops the demand to zero. No demand, no money.

..and that is WHY we have the lockout today.. the NFL has FINALLY hit the 'saturation point" in many markets, and unlike the 1970's to early 2000's, where the higher costs and salaries "passed on" to the consumer at the end of the day, after the negotiations end, the league realizes it can't pass on the higher costs anymore, and while still making money, for the first time in over 3 decades, teams are breaking even to losing money in some of the markets- so have to now do a "economic model" going forward that doesn't pass on the higher costs, but tries to reign some in, because consumers not willing to pay more , especially in the smaller markets, and why 8+ teams didn't have sell out's in 2010.

nope , its one of the biggest 'myths" of vegas.. its illegal in the city of las vegas( though not enforced very well), though do have some legal brothel's outside the city limits..but it is illegal in vegas...
