We aren't that bad at geography.

Ha, you sure? Doesn't fit the stereotype, and most people that I've talked with from the US have no clue where it is. But sure with all the football knowlegde that you have you must know where Denmark is, the Great Dane aka Morten Andersen is from that country! ;)

Many people from the US have no idea there are other countries.

Actually I could find it on Google Earth along with most European countries except for the weird ones around Croatia.

The heck I live in Europe and I even don't know where all the east countries are, so many wired countries. :P
I guess the sterotype does fit like 80% of the public. :D But ofcause that part aren't you guys ;)
Edit: Just came to thing about a video which is really funny, and just "proves" the sterotype. "Why people believe Americans are Stupid" - YouTube
I don't mean to offened any of you, it just make me laugh and smile and hopefully it will make you smile aswell. :>

Was born in Chicago, but moved around a lot as a kid. Lived in Ireland for six years. If I'm not mistaken, didn't Denmark's national football (or soccer to us Americans) team win the European Cup back in... '92 I think? Might have the years wrong, but I'm pretty sure I remember them winning one...

It's great to see that there's Bears fans from overseas though.

Chicago Bears are one of the few teams w/a global branding. No suprise at all that there are Bears fans, at least a few, everywhere.

We did win the European Cup in 92, and we're still very proud of it. It's most likely not going to happen again, so that's maybe why. ;)

Born in Bitburg, Germany. Dad was AF. Moved to Fort Worth, Tx. Surprised I wasn't a Cowboys fan. But my love for the Bears was stronger. Thanks to the 85 Bears. Not just for them winning the SB, but the players and of course the Ditka. Now I am AF and moving around. I keep track mainly through the internet. Now living in Germany again and not sure where I am going next. Still need to go to an actual game. Just can't seem to get to one.
