Ugly week for Bear fans! Devastating first half, and if things don’t improve, they’ll be sucking Cutler up with a straw soon.
American Pitbull v. Boochee
Pitbull got hammered by the early loss of Mike Vick, while BoocheeMan took advantage with his handcuff (Kolb). Garrett Hartley was benched for John Carney. Boochee survived goose-eggs from Jamaal Charles (bye) and Randy Moss (disappeared)and was able to overcome 2 TD by Gates (again!) Both sit @ 2-2. Pitbull—56, Boochee—68
Riczaj v. Hammer Of The Gods
Rough week for Hammer. Despite decent numbers from P. Manning and Driver, Hammer missed the Pierre Thomas injury, and Manningham got blanked by CHI, and Louis Murphy got 5 yards. Riczaj had a good number of guys do middling well without any real standouts, and it was enough to hang on for the win. Riczaj—71, Hammer—61.
Riczaj is 3-1, Hammer 2-2.
Bigwill v. Nick
In the battle of Sunday Night QBs, well… They both sucked! Both put up negative points, but Will gets the sympathy, as Cutler put up a whopping -7.32 (-11.32 on my bench in my other league). Will also took a hit with Sims-Walker (no line) and Owen Daniels. Nick got a huge score out of SD DEF, enough to overcome his Ryan Grant fetish! Nick—80, Bigwill—32. Both are 2-2.
Norman v. Papabear
Both teams got off to a strong start, but each had underperforming receivers on their roster. Santana Moss and Hines Ward combined for <2 points for Norman, and Jacoby Jones and Lee Evans combined for just over 2 points for Derek. Derek had a DEF TD from GB to keep him out front. Papabear—88, Norman 70.
Derek is 2-2, Norman 1-3
Menace v. Globe Of Frogs
It seems as is a different manager has everything fall in place each week, and this time it was Menace’s week. TD’s from Megatron, Royal, Addai, Tomlinson and Keller, as well as multiple DEF TDs from New England led to our biggest score in the league to date. Globe of Frogs competed manfully, nearly breaking 100, but he just ran into a buzz-saw. Menace—157, Globe of Frogs—96.
Both are 2-2.
Koko v. BearfanMike
Late Sunday afternoon, Koko was sweating bullets as Arian Foster rode the pine, but he returned from his discipline and hit the game running. He put up big numbers and had TDs rushing & receiving. BFM got serviceable lines from Mendenhall, Greene, & Flacco, but his receivers generally let him down, scoring a total of 6.20. Jacksonville’s last second FG tipped the Indy D into negative points. Koko—83, BearfanMike—58.
Koko is 3-1, BFM is 1-3.
Next week’s matchups:
Boochee v. Nick
American Pitbull v. BearfanMike
Papabear v. Bigwill
Norman v. Globe Of Frogs
Menace v. Riczaj
Hammer v. koko
