Hester is just amazing. It's nice to know that the new kickoff rule didn't affect his game. We all knew that things would remain status quo in his punt returns, but I was worried about his KR. Wow.

I will update this thread as the season goes on, and his career goes on. Lets take a look at his magical numbers so far in his career
Devin Hester 17 Returns for TDs. (18 if you count the missed FG, 19 if you count the Superbowl. Neither count towards the return record though) Devin Hester owns the record for most kick returns in a career
Devin Hester has 12 total Punt Returns for TDs. He owns the record for PRs in a career!
Devin Hester has 5 total Kick Off Returns for TDs. He is 3 away from tying the record for KOR in a career (held by Joshua Cribbs), and 4 away from setting the record.
Devin Hester is also one return away from tying the all time TD return record (INT, Fumble, KOR, PR, which is held by Deion Sanders) and two away from breaking it

A mini Jordan esque performance with the flu and ankle injury. Glad Lovie had him sit the rest of the game.

Good work Benji. Nice to see we're keeping tabs.
He'll have a tough time equaling that KOR mark now that they've moved the kicks up. Might as well start calling it the Hester rule. Maybe they need to come up with a rule to keep Peyton Manning from calling so many audibles at the line too. Nobody can tell me that rule change wasn't discriminatory.
PR's are a different animal though. You either angle it out or bounds. lose 10-15 yards on the punt and assure that he can't return it of you kick it to him a take the chance you can stop him. He's already proven that even hemming in along the sideline can't always stop him. He was within a desperation tackle of another one too although it would have been called back on a very questionable holding call.
I love watching him hit that hole and turn on those jets. Once he hit high gear no one can catch him from behind. He's one of those rare players who makes watching so interesting because you know he can go all the way anytime he's got the ball. I think it's a shame they took that part of his game away with those changes in KO rules.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

We have still seen several KOR on the year.
