    No reason I should panic over an 8-8 season. Not like I was really expecting much more with a new offense, a brutal schedule, and the same old Lovie-2. At least it should be more fun to watch.

    Yep, should be alot more drama. Get your pitchforks sharpened and your torches ready when they start out 1-4.

    I assume you are assuming the Bears will beat the Lions?

    Not saying they wont, but with the way the Bears have played so far in the pre-season, I for one would not take a much improved Lions team lightly.

    oh the that will cause happiness for some mkae for such a fun board.

    though personally will never wish/hope for a bad season, guess its part of being a FAN and supporting the team NOT ONLY in good times, but also bad or rough times... and would much rather see a 4-1 start, personally

    Ok the Cover-2 thing is beyond over played.

    the "SCHEME" we run is the 4-3. not the Tampa 2. the Tamp two is PLAY call. just like the cover 3, or the cover 1, (which we ALSO use).

    the cover 2 was run primarily in 05-06, and has since been cut back since teams are figuring it out/we haven't been getting the pressure neccesarry to run it correctly.

    God... so many thing's that go into this game that people just flat out overlook/ignore, just baffles me...

    it's like someone trying to teach me chess, when all they know is checkers.

    so beyond frustrating....

    For once we agree. I am not hoping for a bad season jsut to see Lovie go. I have said numerous times, I want him to be the HC for a long time. Because that means we are a successful team year in and year out.

    That being said, I don't see is having a good year, but I hope I am wrong.

    Either way, with the potential lockout next year, I don't see Lovie being fired at years end, unless a resolution is made before the end of the season. The Bears will not pay two coaches not to coach in 2011.

    I think it was more of a vanilla puddin defense. I know some people are not worried about this but seeing the bears lose the starting QB in the preseason worries me. I think Jay will be running for his life this year and probably get injured but why worry about that. I hope forte makes it though the entire season, I drafted him in FF.

    So instead of his 678 page playbook, he should have a 300?

    He would have to cut a lot out of it to make them look like they understand the plays called.
