- Both Minnesota games and winning at Minnesota is always extra special because it's been the Bears "House of Horrors." I want to catch and surpass them in the all-time series. I believe we're presently done by eight.
- Washington - The home playoff losses still sting as does seeing Joe Gibbs walk off the field victorious (I don't believe we've beat a Joe Gibbs coached Redskins team since 1988)
- Both Packers games
- Dallas (already done!)
- Miami - they ruined our perfect season in 1985, they ruined our winning streak in 2006, and I'm sick and tired of hearing about their perfect season in 1972. The Bears could be 9-0 going into the Miami game. Maybe three times is a charm and this time we beat 'em.
Good post jeff.. and agree about most.. and its so weird about gibbs, we beat the redskins in 2001 and 2003, he come sback and we lose to them again.. lol
Will also add panthers so we can move them to the "winning record all time" against them ( 2-2 now)...

There are very few game on the schedule that scare me or I would not favor us in.
The games that we could lose
NY Jets
Green Bay 2
New England
Maybe 1 against Minnesota
Philadelphia

We really do not play that much cover 2 anymore , we had alot of cover 3 on monday actually and even went some man-man at times which was a surpise, marinelli been mixing it up alot.
It is not the pass D that worries me, it is the inability to get off the field on 3rd down. those all out blitz' on 3rd down with a quick out to the WR nearly killed us. Just like the O needs to work on Goal line packages, and Martz needs to try the QB sneak from the inch line PLEASE!!!! Marinelli needs to do something other than blitz on 3rd down leaving the CB's one on one with their WR.

I actually don't like the way we matchup on paper with the Giants defense. I think they can generate a lot of pressure against our line without selling out or blitzing. Their back 7 is so-so, depending on who you're talking about though. I'm giving Martz the benefit of the doubt to adjust accordingly though.
On defense if Eli continues to be turnover machine, we'll be fine.

While in 2007-2009 would agree about the pressure, between injuries and bad play they ahve not been the same anymore- with the exception of kiwanuka no one else is generating pressure this year, so hopefully they don't awaken this week but tuck and company been invisible all year

oh I agree, they need to tighten it up, and figure what works best, and if the Lb blitzes not working, time to try soemthing else. they did occasionaly stay in the cover 2 shell and honestly worked better monday when in tampa-2 over the cover 1 and blitzing..

I think he meant the 2nd Green Bay game, not that we would lose to them 2x.

The quick pass is going to kill us all game; don't care how good of a pass rush you have, GB proved that when the qb is willing to get rid of the ball in 2.5-3 sec's it won't get there very often. If the DB's don't do a better job of covering teams are going to continue to move on us and wear down the D as the year goes on. I'd like to see Lovie and Rod make some adjustments there; maybe Jennings is a good start.

And if you make teams ONE demensional, you WILL win most of the time, if teams can only throwing short, the "D" will keep tighning up and getting picks and Forced fumbles as we saw Monday and last sunday against dallas when ole roy had 2.. in addition all the "shots" the Wr's take on the short passes and hit by Url/briggs/c harris also add up as the game goes by and either fumble like ole roy and lee or Like Witten and finley OFF THE FIELD, and not there at end because of the culmination of hits..
give me all these short throws and culminative hits and opportunities for Int/FF,, over the 20+ passes we had been giving up and long Td's that are not happening anymore
