BEARS 3-0, Can they be 7-0 by the bye??
Well with the Victory last night, and the upcoming opponents stuggling, here is a breakdown of the next few weeks- Do posters think we can get to 7-0 before the bye?
yes or no?
WEEK 4 Giants- The giants are 4-10 in the last 14 and are stuggling both offensively, and more importantlt defensiivly, think the bears can go into jersey and 'steal" this one
WEEK 5 Panthers- A rookie QB in Clausen, a stalled run game and a bad secondary and a likely 0-5 into the game.. bears should run away with this one
Week 6 Seattle- While seattle has been a suprise to start the season, they are not a good road team, and as such the bears pull out the Victory
Week 7 Redskins- While still early, the redskins "O" is struggling, and with the loss to the rams, and a big game against philly this week, but week 7 they can be in full blown panick mode
Think there is a Very good chance at 7-0 by the bye
What do posters think?

Preseason, I would have said no chance in hell.
Right now, watching the Bears play and watching the other teams play, I say there is a good chance.

I thought we would be good all along- and took much crap for it.. though think my 11-5 prediction may need to be revised upward soon : )
Just feels so good, to get out to this start and get back to football talk and not negativity.Figured if we went 2-2 in first we would be in great shape for a playoff run, and with the vikes and old man favre looking like crap, the window is getting wider with each game.
had thought before the year, this would be a "wide open" year and alot of 9-7 , 10-6 teams and so far looks like this will come to pass, there isn't a team in the NFL you look at and can't find 'warts"..

NYG's might come out like Dallas did against Hou w/their season on the line too. We should at least come out of there w/3 wins w/a good probability of winning all of them.

maybe, but they sound like a mess now:
Giants can take solace in fact they're still alive in NFC East, but truth is they're a bad 1-2 team
Sometimes, distance and time can change your perspective. But a day after their 29-10 loss to the Titans and after viewing the tape of the miserable performance, the Giants' perception of who they are and where they stand did not change.
Just ask them.
"Right now we're one game behind in the NFC East," quarterback Eli Manning said, standing in front of his locker Monday afternoon. "You can get hot. It's still early. There's a lot of football left."
If you're in the Giants' locker room, that is the only way you can look at things. If you're on the outside looking in, you see trouble ahead. Reality stinks.
It is still early, but that doesn't change the fact that right now the Giants are a bad 1-2 team.
Their lone victory came against a pathetic Carolina team. They were completely outclassed, and soundly beaten by Indianapolis. Against the Titans they committed 11 penalties (six personal fouls) and three turnovers (two inside the Titans' 6-yard line) and missed two field goals. Tennessee only had to sidestep the stumbling Giants to pick up the victory.
Balls bounce off receivers' hands and are intercepted. The Giants are minus-4 in turnover ratio, which ranks them 27th in the NFL. The special teams aren't very special. When it comes to where their opponents begin their drives after a kickoff, the Giants rank No. 29 (30.1 yard line), and where the Giants' offense starts it ranks No. 31 (21.5 yard line). The holder, punter Matt Dodge, took a delay of game penalty on a field-goal attempt against the Titans. When the ball was moved back, the Giants missed the kick.
There are still players in the Giants' locker room who experienced that 2007 season, where they started 1-2 and ended up winning the Super Bowl. But there aren't enough players from that team left in the locker room who can duplicate that feat. That team had some strong leadership from Michael Strahan and Antonio Pierce, and running back Brandon Jacobs was powering a fierce three-pronged rushing attack behind a young, punishing offensive line. Plaxico Burress was catching more passes than he was letting bounce off his hands
