The Packers also had a good run game last year. They are missing that and seem to be committing even more penalties. Add that to a bad special teams unit and some questionable coaching decisions and the negatives are outweighing the positives for the Packers.

And secondly, unlike the author, I sure hope the Bears coaching crew don't believe this is a "winning formula". The 2nd half of the season foretells a lot of disappointment if they do. Glad to see the players realizing they are heading in the right direction, and not sufficiently there to consider this a winning formula.
Loki......I never knew you were a Packers fan! LOL!!!! ..... AND you're DaBEARS STAFF????......what's wrong with this picture!???......LOL!!!!
I completely agree with you bro.
I can NOT believe that the BEARS Staff would consider this as being anything even "close" to a Winning Formula!......this is nothing more then a Ferrari running on a flat tire.
And it wont be long before the speed eats up the rubber ...... and sparks fly. Causing a major catastrophe!!! ..... LOL!
Better get that flat fixed now while you're still rolling, because there's one helluva rough surface ahead.
The Packers, on the other hand, merely just hit a speed bump. That's all.
But there's nothing wrong with their "rubber". They are completely inflated, and running on plenty of tread.

The "wins" are great! ~ I just question how long they can get away with being mediocre before someone figures them out and hands them their azz as usual.
And then.....all the other contenders follow suit.

Yep , we reduced them from a multi-demensional, big play team , to a one demensional dink/dunk team with no running game, and THAT IS TO THE BEARS CREDIT, not anything on packers

ANd yet again, you seem completely oblivious to everything i said, which is very curious since you take the time to quote me, but not actually read what i write. Fantastic.
But hey, ill repeat myself again since you seem to miss it every other time, maybe ill change font color, that should help:
I never stated what was, or was not normal in regards to packers and their "trend" of committing penalties. My only assertion is that all those penalties did not hamper their ability to make it to the playoffs last year. So i am discussing the issue of RELEVANCE, i.e. who cares that they had the most penalties last year? You seem, to think it has some meaningful significance in relation to THIS season, and i hate to break it to you, but it doesnt. Its merely an interesting tidbit, nothing more. So again...who cares?

I completely agree with that. And, once again....our D is keeping us in the game, and our O is barely squeaking them out.
It's only a matter of time before the D is completely exhausted, and this all implodes.
This Offense really needs to kick it in the ass!

I'll disagree with the "medicore label"
We are the #1 Run "D" in league, 2nd in turnover, #10 in points and 18th by yards.. that is NOT medicore
we are the the 11th ranked "O" by yards 13th by points and have the #3 ranked Qb in jay cutler
NONe of that is close to medicore.. and this is after playing 2 of the supposed top NFC teams in 3 games.. stats should get better with weaker opponents

and you seem to not read my posts or understand that how many wins the 2009 packers COMPLETELY irrelevant to this discussion and who cares? about your ad hominen point that has NOTHING to do with the trend of alot penalties each week being committed by the packers.
you seem to think saying the packers went 11-5 means somethign to the subject when it doesn't.. might as well said the saints won the superbowl would be about as point as your comment is -My point. i hate to brake it to you, but how many games the packers own last year has No signifcance to the subject, while somehow you hink it did! So again, who cares? how many wins the packers had last year

And think that is coming GZ.. we KNEW the Martz "O" wasn't going to be fisnished product to start the years and most likely a lot better in week 10 than week's 1-3.. So not Suprised the "O" has lagged the "D".. but even at this level, IMo its still ALOT BETTER than what we had under Turner and do expect it to catch up to the "D"
