Packers' Woodson Makes Case for Defensive POY (Pussy of the Year)
After Monday's loss to the Bear, Charles Woodson was asked to comment on the penalty that negated Barnett's interception of a Jay Cutler pass:
“You’ve got a guy beating his man on his block and getting to the quarterback, and you get a roughing the passer call. You can’t take that play away. As a referee, you can’t look at that play and call that.”
To which I reply, "Bullfuckingshit you can't!"
The ref HAS to make that call because the offending hit took place just 4 plays after Bears DT Henry Melton was flagged for the exact same offense. What's more, the replay clearly showed that Frank Zombo's helmet-to-helmet hit on Cutler was even more flagrant than the precedent-setting hit on Rodgers.
In all fairness, Woodson's frustration is understandable. The Packers website is reporting that Woodson sprained his left Fallopian tube on the ensuing play.

Woodson has to make those comments in order to keep his team from fully imploding. Doesn't make him any more of a man, but it explains the skirt.

I think roughing the passer is called too much but that kind of helmet-to-helmet spearing is a clear violation, and the hit affected the throw so you might not have the "pick" without the penalty.
That said, Woodson is a fine lady and deserves to be treated as such so watch your language.

Just to add to the argument, Frank Zombo was fined $75K by the league for his hit on Cutler. No fine for Melton. Just sayin.
