    Bears Remaining Season Projection

    Bears Schedule Breakdown

Let me preface this by saying I think the Bears will be competitive in every game they play.

New York Giants: The Giants are struggling and have been blown out in back to back weeks. They have lost the ability to run the ball and have looked weak on defense, despite a very strong OL.

    Tough Win [4-0]

Carolina Panthers: A rookie QB and no production to speak of this should get ugly as the Panthers have been blown out by the likes of Tampa Bay.

    Win [5-0]

Seattle Seahawks: The Seahawks are an up and down team, one week beating San Diego and losing bad to Denver the week before. The game is at Soldier Field against a weaker opponent and the Bears should win.

    Tough Win [6-0]

Washington Redskins: After losing badly to the Rams I simply do not know what to make of the Redskins. This week against the Eagles will be a big test.
The Redskins in my opinion are as talented as the Bears, but not playing nearly as well.

    Win [7-0]

Buffalo Bills: They are the Bills enough said.

    Win [8-0]

Minnesota Vikings: I know the Vikings are down, but they might not be out and in fact they showed some defensive life against the Lions. Soldier Field will make the difference.

    Tough Win [9-0]

Miami Dolphins: The Dolphins are a dangerous team on both sides of the ball and we are going down to play in the Miami heat. Cameron Wake gives me worse nightmares than any pass rusher we have faced.

    Tough Loss [9-1]

Philadelphia Eagles: Another tough game against a talented offense and dangerous QB. I think this is a shoot out.

    Tough Loss [9-2]

Detroit Lions: The first game without turnovers would have been a blow out and I think every big game the Bears play in only makes them sharper and more focused.

    Win [10-2]

New England Patriots: The Bears enter the murderous stretch of their schedule and I think they might get roughed up at the end of the season. The Patriots offense is a real threat, but their defense has been very weak.

    Tough Win [11-2]

Minnesota Vikings: I do not think we are going to sweep the Vikings especially if they are playing for something at home.

    Tough Loss [11-3]

New York Jets: This is going to be a tough game and with a playoff spot locked up I would not even subject Jay to the Rex Ryan attack.

    Loss [11-4]

Green Bay Packers: I do not think we are going to get a 16 penalty performance from the Packers again and at Lambeau should be a great game to watch, but I do not think we can do it to them again.

    Tough Loss [11-5]

Even if some of the tough wins go the other way we should be looking at a 10 win season.

Cameron Wake is terrifying! Good post. I like your take and I hope you're right.

I could see things panning out the way you describe, although I don't know about this week's game. I know the Giants are struggling but if they can get the run game and a pass rush going, that could be the combo that gives the Bears their first loss. I hope not, though.

I don't think the Bears will lose 5 of their last 8 games, and don't think that the Eagles will beat them. I also think they can beat the Jets at home.

I'm taking one game at a time. The Giants concern me, but I predict a Bears victory.

I have some minor changes to the outcomes, but think that eventually we win a minimum of 10 games. But agree with GAJeff that we can only really look ahead one week at a time. Teams evolve/devolve, injuries happen.

I can see a 9-10 win season happening now ... but let's hope if we do contend for a playoff spot that we don't go limping into the playoffs like these projections.

If we are going to have any fits and starts I'd rather have 'em now then start to peak towards the end of the season.

That was my initial reaction too. I'd hate to end the season with several losses. It's not a good way to head into the playoffs. I haven't studied greenbay's schedule, but I'm curious as to whether we have a shot at winning the division with 10 wins or so.

    16-0 baby! Heh he.

Well, let's say we can get to 10-6 this season. That'd be a good record. It means we'd just have to go 7-6 from this point. Pretty doable, I'd say.
Have you seen the video/movie NFL Chicago Bears: The Complete History? Pretty sweet, and I watched it for free here!
