doesn't change the fact that is not liked, merely put up w/because he won so much. When he was not winning his attitude ran him out of the Cleveland job. Same thing will happen to Lovie, he win's he will be put up w/he loses he will be run off b/c of the disdane people will have for his attitude.

Again I don't think it is so much the calm, as it is the expressionless and disingenuiness his attitude comes off as. His mentor from Indy was considered calm, but never came off as either and people liked him(then again he won a lot, and a sb).

So if you win a Super Bowl, you can be secretive?

So what your saying is his demeanor DOESN"T MATTER, and if he wins , he stays and if he loses, he is gone.

isn't that the SAME for any coach and whatever demeanor they have? and you are just transfering your own personal bias?

if we hire the 'perfect coach' you want( by whatever standard you have), if he loses, doesn't he also get fired?

A lot of coaches are given more rope then others; the Chin was given a ton of rope between championships. I'm just pointing out that of the two examples prevsiously given, neither are well liked; the reason that one is given more rope is b/c of 3 championships in 1 decade, the other is on the hot seat b/c he's missed the playoffs 3 years.

between championships? the "chin" went 0-13 in winning a championship, finally Won one, went 8-8 the next year and "retired",,,and that is more a function of the Rooney's "style" and not firing coaches than anything to do with "personality".. heck teh rooney's stuck with Parker for 8 years w/o even making the playoffs once
