Agree. The entire offense played so poorly last night from the QB on down that we could spend all day saying "he could of..." but I agree Jay could have used hot routes more effectively. He took so many hard hits early in the game that I think he was playing dazed prior to the hit where he banged his head on the turf. Last night, he did not make the adjustments/reads I've seen him make in the past and that's why I think he played the 2nd quarter with a mild concussion.

Yep at least on 2 of the Sacks, he had forte in the Flat for an easy dump off, that would have saved some hits in the least, and maybe big plays- instead just looked for the big play and got hammered.
And wouldn't suprise me if it happened earlier and just going by 'rote' on why not seeing the adjustments or forte open

DID YOU NOTICE?
Cutler, a team player, threw the ball away as he ran out of bounds, saving his offensive line the ignominy of yet another sack.
Really?
he was lucky it wasn't the way he lazily lobbed it away & if it's being a team player why didn't he do it on the other sack where he ran out of bounds??
For the coaching it's just a shame theres not a grade lower than F. How many rushes early against one of the worst run D's in the league

Yeah, I did notice and remember that play. I was very disappointed in Cutler for that. He didn't handle his frustration very well! (understatement)

while agree maybe some more runs could ahve been called early BUT will also say hard to call runs when down distance, 1st-15, 2nd-20, 1st- 20, etc etc, we had alot of 2nd and 3rd and longs

the bad play at the end? They gave up at that point. I dont think anyone wanted to get injured when the offense obviously was going no where

don't think they "gave up".. think tired and demoralized "maybe".. but the bowman strip, the harris hit/strip, says still playing hard and not giving up- but jsut being out there for so long on any team DOES take its toll

those guys are still playing for contracts and playing time. Just like at the end Lovie didnt even bother calling time outs. The writing was on the wall no need to get injured

I love how we got lucky in the first three games, but our 13 penalties and going to our 2nd string QB for the entire 2nd half shows that we are who they thought we were, not that GB or Dallas was who we didn't think they were.
we surely SUCKED last night. Our offense looked attrocious, but I think that the issues are fixable. We have already proven that our O line can withstand a rush, they just did not do it last night. If Jay had connected witht eh open receivers when the blitz was on, we would have been far more competitive. Assuming he can return this week, he should be better and that will help his own cause.
