Seen Many teams look god awful,, heck the Giants got blown out the stadium 2 straight weeks to start 2007, losing 80 -24 or something like that- and were the Sb champs by end of year

2006, indy whole "D' blew apart, lost 3-4 at end of year, giving up 219, 375( !!) and 191 yards rushing in the 3 losses and looking completely lost on the "D' line or stopping the run- and of course won the superbowl and played good run "D" in the playoffs

And NOT saying we are going to the SB or even it can or will be fixed, just saying almost every year in the NFL teams have bad games or even BAD stretches of games and DO OVERCOME the problems and what at time looks like terminal problems

I agree, but I do not see this as a bad game by our OL to me this is them playing to their talent level. They were playing incredibly well the first 3 weeks, now they look like the old patch work unit they are.

Good teams/units can respond from a bad game and I expect our DL will do that against Carolina against the rush, but who on this OL will respond? They all suck.

We gotta play max protection and play conservative ball each game until they back off. It's like the Arizona game; we've been figured out. Let's hope our coaches can mix it up.

    A few things:
First- is a bad line is one that can't either run OR pass. A Horrid line cannot do either. Our line is horrid
Second-this is a screaming wake up call and just perhaps a blessing in disguise. Why? Because it HAS to be addressed NO job is safe including vets, AND it will show if some know the difference in playing with what they have or being stubborn to the point your qb's are decimated showing who the "mad genius" really is.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

    Restore the roar!

so they played 3 good games- one god awful( with BOTH guards leaving for injury early( garza and louis) and new guys that have no chemisty with anyone in edwin williams and shifting webb around) and based on 2 new guys with no experience, you then"conclude" they are "now they look like the old patch work unit they are.".. despite with the expection of kreutz no one was older than 27 at times..

that is when don't 'get" your posts and seem a lot of baseless opinion and not real line play or Facts.

You, especially as a olineman, know coming in cold and in Williams case- not even on the team 2 weeks ago, to expect him to gel instantly with the rest of line and know all the assigments and tendancies and have great chemistry and not make mistakes would actually be the unrealistic choice.

But you now are making conclusions that, "they look like the old patch work unit they are", despite actually being very young and not having experience, just doesn't seem very valid does it?

doesn't help that Cutler has to tell his #1 WR which side of the field he's supposed to line up on; 3times last night he had to do that; how is he supposed to rely on these guys if they don't even know where to line up? So he has approx 3 sec's to drop back in a 5-7 drop play, then has to rely on the wr to be where he supposed to be, and that guy isn't even lining up right....that isn't trust, that's a leap of faith no qb should have to make.

they were getting manhandled before the injuries. And lance louis was straight getting plowed over

very young crap talent like we said all offseason long. For three games they impressed me by playing below average. But that game was a straight disaster. And if it is acceptable to you after last season oline that the organization threw out there a below average oline idk what to tell you.

oh NOT saying last night wasn't bad,, it was GOD AWFUL..just saying having 3/5's of the players on the oline not having any experience at those positions on the bears very likely contrinuted to alot of it.. and as such depending on the injuries, it may not be as bad as last night ever again

Playing QB is a lot like pitching mentally.

We have all seen a pitcher get roughed up over a couple of starts and just disappear. A QB needs the same level of confidence and can quickly disappear if that goes away.

We are watching the destrcution of a good young QB.
