    Okay 3N:

    What are your expectations? If having a winning record means nothing to you, then what does? Winning Super Bowls only? If that's the case, then your list of coaching candidates is tiny and good luck in hiring one. Yeah, I want my team to win Super Bowls, but I'm realistic enough to know how hard it it to achieve and don't set that as the ONLY criterion as to whether a coach is good or not.

    Sorry you don't care whether we win against our biggest rival.

    Rex had a pretty good year in 2006. The Bears were tied for second in terms of pts./game. If your going to say that it was our defense that set that up, than scroll back up this thread and review point #4 about the Bears and turnovers. Last 3 years have been middle of the pack in terms of scoring.

    Agreed about the goal line and short yardage offense. It's embarrassing! I too am getting tired of most of our draft attention leaning to the defense while the offensive line was crumbling.

    From reading your responses, I've concluded that you HATE LOVIE SMITH because he hasn't won a Super Bowl and our short yardage offense is terrible.

    I don't "hate" Lovie,I just don't want to ever see or hear him again.
    He comes off as smug and arrogant,(sorta like fiddling while Rome burns).
    As fans,we call into question many of the decisions made by this regime;
    we buy the tickets,we buy the merchandise and support the team.
    If it was only one isolated incident of incompetence,poor preparation,or simply bad luck;
    that would be one thing.
    I want Bears news,I want to know how the team plans to improve,and what obstacles they face.
    As fans,we won't be privy to things that would give information to the competition;
    but being coy,rude and evasive to the chicago media asking valid questions does not bring good will.
    Many of the die hard fans,live and die with this team,
    some of us have been fans longer than Lovie has been alive.
    So if his antics rub people the wrong way,try to understand the long term dedication of many fans.
    I remember George Blanda playing,Gale Sayers,Dick Butkus,and many others.
    The Bears have a franchise QB now,no one that is a true fan wants to see hurt;
    I was quite frankly pi$$ed that Lovie talked so cavalierly about Cutler.
    If we the viewers could see something was wrong with him,how could he not?
    You spend all this time working around and with someone,and can't see that they are off?
    Being bland and aloof are sins we can live with,arrogance and cluelessness we can not.

    Well thought out and agree Clay. I'm a long time fan too. I just simply wanted to know details from people. To many "he sucks" posts without any thought behind them.

    part of the reason for that is because people have already wasted many posts on describing why they dislike something or someone, so to do so all the time can get a bit tedious, so they just stick with "sucks." If i had to explain why i thought the OL sucks every single time i discuss our sucky OL, i would probably get pretty bored of repeating myself.

    Agreed Jimmors!

    Much easier to just say "They SUCK" ......

    That pretty much sums up everything needed to be said .....

    Although, I can't even imagine what will be said if this Sunday is just a mirror of Last Sunday!!!!

    YIKES!!!!

    Understand. I guess I made some assumptions here. The comment was directed at those posters who's typical response is "he sucks" with nothing else, ever. I've read many a post, from many a poster, and I have a feel for those who typically generalize, etc... Yet I do understand where you're coming from on this.

    If Carolina is a repeat of the NYG game, then we'll say they really suck!
