Harris back in mix, not necessarily starting lineup

Smith says defensive tackle did some good things against Giants

Tommie Harris played about 20 snaps in his return to the lineup Sunday, but coach Lovie Smith stopped short of naming Harris a starter again.

Harris did not dress against the Packers, then came off the bench versus the Giants as Matt Toeaina started his second consecutive game. Harris was credited with one assisted tackle in the loss.

"Good to get him back in the mix," Smith said of Harris. "He practiced hard last week, was willing (Sunday) night, didn't make a whole lot of plays but was willing.

"We're still evaluating. Tommie did some good things. A lot of things will go into that before we start deciding who is going to start and who is going to dress."
