yep, like we have discussed some people like a norv turner, martz, lebeau marinelli good coaches and Coordinators, just not head coaches and IMO nothing wrong with that- find your speciality and excell at it
If he's out no doubt. The line hasn't been good all year, servicable at times yes, but good no. We have to have play action work, and that's only gonna happen is we can threaten with run and that's on the OL. We can get by with out PA working so well with Cutler, not so much with the other two IMO.
Didn't the BEARS say, in Preseason when everyone was on their case, that we should all just relax and trust them because they really just haven't Shown their cards yet...so that opponents wouldn't figure them out?
And I kept saying ..... Yeah Yeah Yeah ..... just feed them Bull Shit as long as it takes. Must keep'em all FOOLED and that Stadium filled!!!!!
And always remember the Bottom Line in Chicago:

and GZ when started 3-0 and looked ALOT BETTER than theor 0-4 preseason.. wasn't that correct? and even at 3-1 still ALOT better than 0-4?
So what happened did the lions, dallas and packers FOOLED and just forfeited the games? how did they win those games if just 'fooling the fans for money"
how did they 'fool" these teams, players and opposing coaches? did the ebars pay them off?
you are not making any sense
Come On DB......you know dam well that the Oline was NOT performing very well...even in those games.
Many of us have been saying that they better get their shit together on that Oline because it's only a matter of time before an opponent has their number, and once the code is broken ~ all the rest will follow suite.
The only reason we won the Dallas and Green Bay game is because the DEFENSE managed to make sure that the few points that we did score stayed ours...and didn't allow the opponents anything more then what they managed to score.
I haven't given up on the season....but, get serious. It doesn't look good. This Offensive line is not even mediocre. They are flat out non-existent.
They may as well have just stepped to the side after the snap. They are ATROCIOUS!!!!! .... and freakin' DANGEROUS.
Is there anything any coach can do to fix it?......I couldn't even imagine what.
Seriously, they can't run, they can't run the routes they need to, they can't block....these aren't just minor "fixable" problems.
These guys are gonna get somebody killed.
I seriously worry about Cutler, or any QB that has to stand behind this Offense.
If they get their shit together, I think there are some very winnable games. But what on earth would it take for them to get their shit together?
If this Sunday is a mirror of last Sunday....I don't know if I'd even risk someones life out there.
At the very least you're risking putting someone in a wheel chair for a long time....if not worse.
I'm kinda thinking after that horrendous embarrassment that the Oline will fight like dogs this Sunday...but what if they really can't?....what if that's the best they've got?
At what point is it worth risking somebody's future/health for?
These guys make a lot of money for sure....but nobody's expecting them to actually lay it all on the line for a game.
.
isn't that how ANY team wins in ANY sport? scoring more than the opponent leads to W's.. don't think any magic there GZ or different than any day of teh week in 100's of games in all sports.Quote:

becuase professionals and despite the "sky is falling" rarely if ever have 2 that bad in a row.. I would have thought your "panick" of 2006 and seaosn over at 1/2 time of the ariz game would have taught you THAT lesson. .. that is can and does get better and soemtimes even in the same game 'despite having our number" guess not.Quote:

actually I do expect paid athelte's to lay it on the line each week, its why they are there- will it always work out? of course not!,, otherwise all teasm would be 19-0 and we all know that cant happen.Quote:

could it continue bad? sure!.. but the idea of packign it in now just seems way premature and silly
Agree with all.
And I never said I was packing it in....in fact, I said just the opposite.
My only concern is that I believe this was the worst offense I've ever seen. Just when you think they can't get worse, they set NFL Records for ATROCIOUS! ..... LOL!!!!!
I don't know what it could take to fix this by this Sunday....but I'm certainly NOT "packing it in". :-)
I actually have faith that we will wind up kicking the living dog sh*t out of Carolina.
But, if it's another showing like last Sunday..........
.
To be fair G-zan...the Bears did show that they are better then their preseason record indicated. They have shown flashes of brilliance on offense, and we all know what our defense and ST are capable of. The problem is, we need at LEAST a halfway serviceable OL to make the offense work...which we dont have at the moment. I believe that IF we fix the OL, then the offense will continue to put up some of the staggering numbers we've seen in spurts through the first 3 games. But as it stands now, the OL is more of a liability to this team, putting our QBs (yes plural) in serious risk each week.
and that's all I ask! BEAR DOWN! :smile:Quote:
