Adam_Schefter Filed to ESPN: When the Randy Moss-to-Minnesota trade is completed later, Patriots will receive a third-round pick in return from Vikings.
Adam_Schefter One day after Chicago released him, DE Mark Anderson will sign with Houston. Anderson and Texans LB Demeco Ryans were teammates at Alabama.
skjensen I think it's important to note Charles Grant is left defensive end, so good complement to Julius Peppers, who usually plays on right side

Does anyone else doubt that Grant can help us?
He was cut by three teams in a matter of a few months.
Saints cut him for Alex Brown (Bears replaced Brown with Mark Anderson who is now is replaced by Grant)
Dolphins cut him
And a day before the Bears signed him, he was cut by a team in the UFL.
We signed a guy that wasn't good enough for the freakin UFL

yep.. by that logic we knew kurt warner after cut by packers, playing in arena football would never help the rams, right? hell he wasn't even playing, he was bagging groceries, so know he couldn't help rams, right? I mean he wasn't even good even for fricken arena football..lol can go on but think made my point
Do i think grant can help? not sure.. but the NFL is rife with " success stories after failures",, heck moss was considered dead in oakland, so his career was over right?

Oakland was such a power house while Moss was there. The bears have other more important needs, like the o-line.
Without weaponz it's just another airline!
I am here to chew bubble gum and kick butt and I am all out of bubble gum!

So a team can't do both? and while looking for o-lineman ALSO make moves to improve the team at other Poitions? i would think its a Gm's job to always be looking at all positions- and while one may be a biiger need, if nothign there, i'd hope the Gm and scouts, don't stop looking for ways to improve other positions , even if another position a bigger need, esp if nothing is available now, don't you think?

Warner wasn't 32 years old when signed either. The Bears aren't signing a player at the beginning of his career, most likely his last stop. So I don't see the comparison between Grant and Warner. Apples and oranges.

Some interesting stats on week 4:
Consider the following:
• When Miami fell with a thud to .500 in the wake of that 41-14 demolition by New England on Monday night, it meant that 21 of the league's 32 teams (65.6 percent) were sitting at .500 or worse at the season's first quarter pole. That's 11 of 16 NFC teams with at least two losses, and 10 of 16 AFC teams at 2-2 or worse. Can't anybody here play this game?
• Of the six playoffs from 2009 in the NFC, only two (New Orleans and Green Bay, both 3-1) have winning records through four weeks, and neither have been anything approaching dominant. As a six-team field, the Cowboys, Eagles, Saints, Vikings, Packers and Cardinals are a very mediocre 12-10. The story is a bit better in the AFC, where last year's six playoff teams have started 15-9, with three winning teams (Jets, Patriots and Ravens) and three at .500 (Colts, Bengals and Chargers).
• Three different divisions feature a three-team jumble of 2-2 teams, with the NFC East and West being led by those break-even clubs, and the AFC South having Jacksonville, Indianapolis and Tennessee clumped just a game back of division-leading Houston (3-1).
• Lastly, with both Pittsburgh and Chicago losing in Week 4, Kansas City (3-0), remarkably enough, remains the league's only undefeated team. The last time we were down to just one of those this early in the season was the year before realignment, in 2001, when Mike Martz's Rams got off to a 4-0 start while everyone else took at least one loss in the first month of the schedule. Since the 1970 merger, the earliest point in a season in which there were no undefeated teams was after Week 4 in 1970.

Would mike vick, ricky williams, tom waddle(cut 6 times), antonio pierce, london fletcher, jake delhome, jeff garthia, priest holmes, warren moon, etc etc for players that either never drafted and drifted around, had problems and avaiable for Nothing.. but have made comebacks..and had goocdcomebacks...despite the "he cant be good, no one wants him' tag...
