    Forte is really showing open field speed this year

    Makes me think his knee bothered him alot more then anyone thought last year. He easily outran everyone on that one once he got to the third level, thats a few times already this year he did that, and also did it a few times in preseason.

    It's amazing how good he looks,when healthy,which is why I wasn't down on him last year;
    He was a trooper even after hearing about his "sophomore slump",as he played injured.

    You cannot expect big games from your rb if you don't give him the carries/chances to have big games

    When he hit those holes he was gone. I didn't see that once last year, if they get him to that 2nd level he can really hurt teams. I like the fact they went outside quite a bit today, rather then just dives up the middle.

    And his speed TO the outside is better this year. Such a difference when he's healthy.

    Matt Forte had a great day! Hopefully Martz and co. can mix it up a little better in the Seahawks game. it was pretty painful to watch runs called where everybody including Guitarzan's Smileyfaces knew a run was coming!

    Wow.... Forte looks incredibly fast when he hits the holes. Faster than I've seen him in his first two seasons. It kind of opened my eyes: I'm thinking more and more that Forte is not the problem. It's just that the o-line rarely gives him anything to work with. (Well, we all knew that already.) I still think it's good to get Chester Taylor involved... and hell, once we get the passing game back, and we BALANCE our attack (not 90% pass, 10% run)... we can get so much better.

    Oh, yeah... Hanie without a doubt deserves to be #2. Screw that thinking that we needed a veteran. We should have never gotten rid of LeFevour.

    Are people seriously bringing up Dan effin' LeGirlyarm as if letting him go was some giant mistake? Did we not see enough of his utter suck and 12 year old ballgirl arm this preseason against everyone except guys who aren't in the league right now? Seriously? Dan LeFevour? Seriously?

    I've heard LeFevour played very well at Central Michigan and broke a lot of records. I know... I know... the NFL is leaps and bounds above what LeFevour faced. But still, grooming a young guy like him sure could have produced better long-term results than the short-term "fix" we had in Collins.

    We have a guy to groom in Caleb Hanie, and he doesn't have the arm of a 12 year old girl.
