This whole thing is getting blown out because all of a sudden Deion fa-king Sanders states the bears "MAY BE" (not for sure), the Best team, with a small sample size to go from. I didn't know he was a great source of football knowledge. And from that Sample size, luck more than Talent is shown as why they won.

As I have agreed with Nick, week 10 is a good judge of where the team is at. They have 2 more easy wins.. The rest are going to see if Luck or Talent that this team has. Depending on how Minny fairs the next two-three weeks, will see if this is the Bears Div to loose.. Or a 2 team race. With all the injuries to GB, I can see them starting to fad away out of the picture.

The first big test for the Bears IMO was against the packers.. The Packers killed themselves with the 17-8 flags.. The next was the Giants game, which we all know what happened. This week should be a cakewalk.. WAS game, is a toss up.. If Portis is out, ( thought I read he was done for the year somewhere) Then the bears should walk way with an easy W.. if not, it will be a fight that might not go their way.
I’ve seen this movie before…after being called out for being a juvenile punk bitch, you pull out some trivial, pseudo intellectual argument in a lame attempt prove you’re still smarter than everyone else (which you’re not, not by a long shot, but that’s another story)…

But ok, I’ll play along…yes, padawan, 10 games is indeed a better sample size then 5 games…just as 16 games will be a better sample size then 10 games….just as 5 games is a better sample size then ZERO games…and don’t sit here and pretend you didn’t make preseason pontifications as to how the Bears would do and which teams were “good” and which teams were “bad”…

So, here we are, 5 games in…and the Bears are 4-1 sitting atop of the NFC North…are they the Best in the NFC?…maybe, maybe not…at Week Zero they were not; and at Week 10 maybe they won’t be either….but AT WEEK 5, they are certainly, and objectively, in the conversation…and Deion fa-king Sanders has nothing to do with that..

We all know you (and others) are personally invested, as lame and sad as that may be, in the Bears having a lousy season…you’re so wrapped up in having to be smarter then everyone (Lovie, Martz, JA, me, DB, and every optimistic fan), that you will never give this team any credit… you and other lame ass “Fans” will be here after every win to point out the obvious (like our OL still sucks and our secondary is lackluster) and to belittle anyone who dares to enjoy that win…and here after every lose to proudly remind everyone “I told you so”…

I've already admitted week 1 that I was impressed with the team and reminded everyone ad nauseum that an 0-4 preseason means NOTHING. Yeah our O-line is having problems, but we're still 4-1 with the "worst o-line ever". Besides, how can you honestly say this coaching staff is NOT putting everything into making sure the Bears win week in week out. 2006, they weren't gonna pull grossman for anything. This year, salary doesn't matter; you can't play, you WONT play. That's rather encouraging, don't ya think? And finally, do you not talk crap to fans of other teams who have worse records than the Bears? Have you no pride?

Very well said Wolfman. I think you hit the nail on the head. I would also add "they are also personally invested in wanting Lovie and JA gone after this season" so they won't be objective about the Bears performance to date.

yep.. the bias is strange, and worse is IMO, you are a 'sports fan" to ENJOY the sport and ENJOY the wins.. that's what a recreational activity is. if a team/sport caused me 1/100th the misery they portray here- i'd just leave and never look back and findsomething that gave me pleasure and enjoyment instead. When the team even WINS AND HAS THE BEST RECORD IN THE NFL( and doesn't matter if can continue it, it IS true TODAY), to not even show an ounce of support or GLAD they have "so far" proven you wrong, strange. We have alot of people that doubted the bears, but very glad theyw ere wrong and enjoy the W's.. Just a few live for the complainign even hen win, and never understand that

Oh you poor baby, someone is getting butt hurt because the non homer fans see the bad things with this team. I see the same shit you see when certain fans think they know everything and belittle other fans who do see problems with this team but instead of addressing them they ignore than and only focus on the good things only. Was it good for you to see the franchise qb get his ass kicked last week and set a new NFL record for sacks in a half because the offensive line does suck?

Oh, poor retard, someone is all confused that homer fans see all the same obvious bad things with this team that you do, YET still manage to enjoy winning and being on top of the NFC North…no, we’re not oblivious to and don’t ignore the problems, we’re just not obsessed and needlessly tortured by them like you are…go ahead and wallow in your pointless misery over all the negative things you have zero control over…was it good for you that we won Sunday?

We're 4-1, have the best record in the NFL, are leading the division, have a solid defense, special teams are looking good, offense looks good besides the O-line.

FUck it, I'm going to complain about everything and act like theres no chance in hell that we are doing anything right, it's all luck. We blow!!!!

If your too positive or too negative it skews your perspective and it inhibits your enjoyment. If your a fan long enough you know that it is a roller-coaster esp here. I absolutely enjoy the wins but we learn much (and correct) more from losing and hope not to REPEAT the same mistakes over and over.
In the short term (a few seasons) we are a good team that will most likely see the playoffs
In the long term (with the current regime) it is hard to see us in the SB competing for championships
It does tear a fan apart in a sense.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

    Restore the roar!
