Ex-Bears QB Miller sees potential for playoff push
October 11, 2010 11:02 AM |
Staff report
Former Bears quarterback Jim Miller, who led the team to a playoff berth in the 2001 season, sees strong postseason potential in this year's 4-1 team.
"They're going to be tough to beat now," Miller said Monday on "The Danny Mac Show" on WSCR-AM 670. "That is a good team that Jerry Angelo has assembled and the guys are respondent.
"The defense is great, the special teams are way above average in the National Football League and the offense is inconsistent. So they're still not a complete football team but they are a good football team that has the potential to be great."
In Miller's view, the Bears need only some offensive fine-tuning to make a Super Bowl run.
"If they play better in situations offensively they can go to the playoffs and they can make some noise in the playoffs," he said.

2. we are 4-1. Sure only one game was brilliant and the others showed our weaknesses. But if you look around the league I dont see a straight dominating team. Just look at how the Colts only had one td against KC as an example of that.
Yes I was doubting Rod but I give him an A grade for the first quarter of the season. It's a nice change of pace to have a playoff quality defense.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.
