The next two drives of the first quarter they achieved (1) first down and (25) total yards.

    Second Quarter:
    (2) first downs and (67) yards with NO scores.

    Third Quarter:
    (4) three and outs for (0) yards...!!!

    Fourth Quarter:
    (4) first downs (?), 44 yards and a pair of field goals.

So, between the 2nd and 4th quarter, we averaged (37) yards a quarter. Wow, we did rush that down their throats...

Taking away the first two rushes, the Bears averaged 2.8 yards a carry...!!! Do some homework before you post next time...!!! Seriously, and all those high fives...

Given that the Panthers were totally focused on stopping our run game, the only part of our offensive game that could hurt them, yeah, we rushed it down their throats…the only problem with the Bears yesterday was they threw the ball at all…

Yawn...!!! The Bears were shut down after the second drive. Again, barely won. It was the Panthers...

Well "if" 23-6 is "barely winning, that means the bears REALLY the top team in league if now discount other teams that "barely' won by less scores.. if this was a "barely" won.. thanks for laugh!

And when games stop counting the first quarter please get back to me

I see what Nagusky is saying (I think)...offensively, we should've done more.

But it's as though he's forgetting what our Defense did. Went into a game that they had every right to control, and they did just that (5 sack and however many turnovers later....think that's a bit better then expected).

I remember back in ’85 when we "barely won" the Superbowl…ah, good times…

Like saying a one-legged man should have ran the race faster…without Culter, our Offense as hobbled and one-dimensional, yet it still did the only thing it could (run the ball) well enough to win the game….

The difference is the "D" will be back next week for rest of the year, and Collins will probably never see the field again. To "discount" that Cutler, not collins is our QB, and "thinking" yesterday's qb performance is the "norm", just wrong. if anyone really beleives that if cutler was playing we dont score at least 14 more.. can't help them.. Collins ahd knox wide open for a td, couldn't throw it there, and had olsen for a TD he again never saw, and had hester wide open for at least a long gain or TD and again threw the INT instead because didn't have the arm strength

And that's what good teams do- even when part of the team stinking the joint( qb), the other parts pick up the slack and perform great to get the W( run game and "D' and ST)
