I don't remember too many fluff pieces in the last few years. Maybe in 2007 after the Superbowl, but not really since then. What I remember is everyone dogging him and TH not stepping up and proving anyone wrong. Now, with a work ethic, and a little added pressure of JP on one side of him to expose that he is NOT all that, maybe a light is turning on.
Here's hoping. I liked Tommie, loved his burst and his disruptive force on the interior. But we have not had that consistently since the middle of '06. If he can get back to 80% of that, we would be OK in the middle.
GET IT DONE TOMMIE, MAKE YOUR IMPACT ON THIS TEAM. Most of us are rooting for that to happen, but time is running out.

Well, the injury you can't control, and how much he can ever come back, but can control the worth ethic and drive and time put in- which is good to see

Im past that. He does the same routine every year. Comes on around the end of the season and fools the king of fools JA into justifying giving his roster bonus instead of cutting dead weight. Just like JA got fooled with the oline at end of last season.

I know he's not the same as before but if he showed more of a motor even though he's getting dogged more I wouldn't mind as much. And if he does that end of the year push again-CUT/TRADE HIM!
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.
Restore the roar!

Agreed. The injuries have definitely taken their toll. They were serious injuries. I do not believe that we will ever get Pro Bowl Tommie back. But it would nto hurt to have consistent hard working Tommie, whatever that looks like.
It all sounds good, and we all know he is capable of doing that. Now, we need to see it. I like his attitude this year. Let's hope this article is correct in that we should see benefits from this soon.

cutting or trading him now would be dumb. We need the depth and you arent going to get much in a trade anyways. But reality is he is a con man

LOL, i really want to like you Motown, but your negative spin on things and calling it reality is hard to take. A Con man?? really?? I know and agree that we have not seen all that Tommie could be, and that is a worthy discussion, but you use language which eliminates all common sense and ability to grow, change learn. You expect what you expect, but perhaps that is the problem.
I can't see con man. He certainly has not earned his money, but that hardly makes him a con man. Maybe he is just unable to live up to that for whatever reason, but I seriously doubt that it is good logic to say he is a con man, and I seriously doubt you would say anything approaching that if you weren't hiding behind a computer.

I'm done with the Tommie Show. And have been since last season.
Mo is right. We won't get anything for him so might as well keep him as depth. But keep him out of the starting gig. Give it to someone who can make an impact.

I dont need people to like me Im an asshole lol.
And I dont have a negative spin on things go read all my posts. I read it like I see it. If something is good I praise it. If something is bad I rip it. I dont like making things what they arent. Since Harris contract extension look at when Harris gets all his stats. It is always at the end of the season when all the press comes out and starts saying Harris might get cut. Then he has a few monster games and earns a 7 mil roster bonus. Happened three years in a row now.
But and this is a big but of a difference. If he does something good at the end of this year it might help us cause we are actually playoff bound now lmfao. At least his hard play to earn another roster bonus wont be for nothing.

You don't know Mo. He would say that to anyone who would listen.
I don't fully agree that he is a con man. I think that Tommie believes he can still play, I just don't think he can.
I'd have no problem voicing that anywhere either.
