Run the ball more!!
Yes, this was the first game in which the defense actually played all-around poorly.
Yes, the pass-protection is still a shambles.
Yes, Jay should NOT have taken that sack that knocked us out of field goal range (ended up being the 3 points we needed).
The main reason the Bears lost this game today is that Mike Martz went right back to the pass-happy nonsense that got Cutler killed two weeks ago. This AFTER Forte carved up the Panthers. This AFTER Forte picked up right where he left off.
Mike Martz, it is now clear, is more concerned about style points than winning. He must be curbed and I mean SEVERELY. We need to run the ball more. And not out of 3 receiver formations like they were doing today. I mean a COMMITMENT to the run.
That is all.

Martz's offense can put up alot of big plays, the Bears are #1 in the entire NFL in plays over 30 yards. Unfortunately none of that works if you only have 2 seconds to get rid of the ball. In hindsight, its pretty amazing the Bears have had so many big plays with an OL this bad.

They can say it's a knee-jerk reaction but when everyone including the commentators and their mother is calling for a RUN for Pete's sake RUN a time or two. You run to protect your qb, keep the clock moving, to keep the D fresher etc. When Martz was reigned in by Vermeil and they RAN it was successful. Let the line get some confidence and RUN.
If you think it's going to get sniffed out RUN in your passing sets. You don't need statistical analysis to know when we will run and always pass.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.
Restore the roar!

Run the ball? We suck at it. The fluke big run here and there aside, we suck at the run. It's not style points, he's playing to the teams strengths which is Cutlers arm and the recievers speed.
Commitment to the run is not Mike Martz and most of us knew that 6 months ago.

You can't run the ball and expect much on 1-2 yard gains. Martz knows out line is crap and it can't open up a hole for any runningback. The only 2 guys that have any chance with this POS line is Walter Payton or Barry Sanders. The main reason we lost this game was the other team came in prepaired, our defense got toasted by Mike Williams and their running game, We did crap on 3rd down and we have no offensive line.

The cries of " the bears can't run" is pure idiocy.
The Bears never commit to the run and when they do run, it's always out of a passing formation so the blocking is inadequate.
Mike Martz called 14 runs today...for the entire game!
His play calling is killing the team.

You can't run the ball with this crapfest of an offensive line. So we do run it then we would punt after 3 plays.

Oh hell, is that all! .... those are all easy fixes, and there's plenty of football left.

The players are killing this team. Martz doesn't call high school plays. If you expected the "Wing T" then really, who's the idiot?
We don't have a pure runner, a pure drive blocker(whithout Garza, although Williams did a fine job today), and we don't even carry a pure fullback.
It's the hand we delt ourselves. We lead the division.
Flip flop Hester and DA, Taylor and and Forte, remind Manu that he still plays in the NFL, Put Clark in the game, and get ready for the Redskins.

Bears can't run the ball, because they don't have an offensive line. Why waste time and downs trying to run the ball when you know you can't.
Point to the Carolina game all you want, but outside of those two big runs, the Bears running game did jack crap the rest of the game, as did their offense.
