Up next for Bears: Washington Redskins
Up next for Bears: Washington Redskins
Washington a team in transition
By Dan Pompei Tribune staff reporter
Quick look: In the first year of Mike Shanahan's tenure in Washington, the Redskins still are trying to establish an identity and find the right players to fit the schemes — kind of like the Seahawks are under Pete Carroll.
Offensively, the Redskins have had some success moving the ball with new quarterback Donovan McNabb throwing to wide receiver Santana Moss and tight end Chris Cooley, but they have had less success putting the ball in the end zone. They came into the weekend ranked 31st in the NFL in red zone touchdown efficiency.
On defense, the Redskins have been inconsistent as well. They came into the weekend allowing more yards per game than any team in football but have had some impressive performances. Watch for safety LaRon Landry to line up all over the field and make plays everywhere.
The team has not gotten much out of star tackle Albert Haynesworth, who is disgruntled about his role on the defense.
Key stat: Four of the Redskins' first six games came down to the final play before before Sunday.
Key matchup: Redskins outside linebacker Brian Orakpo versus Bears right tackle J'Marcus Webb. This will be Webb's first test against an elite rusher. Orakpo has put consistent pressure on opposing quarterbacks and drawn more holding penalties than anyone in the NFL.
Early pick: Bears 30, Redskins 24

Think will be a very tight game.. and alot of hitting on both sides.. Both teams coming off L's that could have seperated them from their Division pack and both failed... redskins ST haven't been very good a nice explotation for Toub next sunday
Still too early to see the injury reports and really look at the matchup's.. but leaning to the home field advantage..

Wow that's totally awesome, brah. I'm gonna outdo ya and say we're gonna lose every single game because I love to be right so much id rather see my favorite team lose and have my fellow fans be disgruntled.

Well, assuming we'll lose every game left is not reasonable. Even a broken clock is right twice a day. :-)
I think we actually have 2-3 lucky wins left.

And how do the Bears deal with the outside pass blitz? Until I see them stop it by blocking people I'm not too optimistic.
