anothe thing maybe Mankins is a bit overrated. Butka any thoughts on what you have seen from his play? I mean when you look at the Patriots right now they havent been in turmoil on the oline cause Mankins isnt playing and they have an injury on the oline on top of that. Maybe he is just one of those " system players" that benefit from that offense with the quick passes

Even though I feel that system makes a lot of guys look better than their real skills, I think Mankins is better than just a system player. He's a pretty physical guy. He can put d linemen on their backs and has pretty sound technique. Even then, I don't know if I'd mortgage a 1st rounder and tons of money for him. He's solid, but not 1st round pick good, not at his age.

Thats it? Then hell, give them a first rounder. WE all know that the Bears need to fix the OL, so what are they mot likely going to use that first rounder on anyway? An OL. Might as well use it now and get one that is pretty good at his job instead of having to wait another year for an unproven rookie,.

to me if Mankins is a realistic option financially for the team Im sending no better then a 3 for him cause of his age. Thanks for the clarification on his skills. I know he is a probowler just didnt know how much of it was cause of his skills and how much the system

rather get a LT or RT in the first. And they will be drafting Harris replacement in the first

It would be interesting to know if ownership is even WANTING them to trade or live or die w/what they have. If they prefer not to it could be a sign where the staff is heading.

They should do everything they can to get him, but that doesn't include trading away first or second round picks. I mean damn, the Bears keep giving up draft picks. I still think cutler was worth it, but if the Bears are ever going to get better they need draft picks.... and they need them to pan out.
