at the 1:03 mark, you actually see forte come over to get the safety and just completey wiff on the block
Easy there partner. I didn't say (or mean to imply) that you said anything. I read the same article yesterday and like Mullin's optimism. I'm just saying I understand what he said and in theory it should be fixable, but I still need to see the results validated on the field.

Samething with Smith saying the Bears need more balance on offense. Saying it and doing it are two different things. Let's see that statement (more balance) validated on the field.

What ticks me off about the Seattle game is we were out coached. That's inexcusable.

Even if the Bears win their next two games do not look for respect from the media or the fanbase. It'll take more than two wins, one against the worst team in the league, to restore faith in this football team. Let's see 'em beat the Vikings, the Dolphins and the Eagles. If the results are validated on the field I think they can, but that's a big "if."

Oh ok, thought you were, its all good. just pointing out there was a logical explanation for what at first glance did seem "inexcusible".. And The bears could go undefeated the rest of the year and "some" would still not respect them, so don't put any weight into that argument or think it has any merit.. i'll glady take 2 wins and have people complain each and every time : )

we could of had Moss for a third rounder. He is better then all our crap weapons put together. I think we speant our money and that is it. But straight up hate that Vikings who also spent above their budget to get Moss. If we cant get an olinemen why not improve the wrs?

because moss is a huge risk, both for this year and esp wanting a new contract and if you don't want him long term for whatever reason's, really makes no sense to make the trade, he has the history with vikes, so an obvious fit and in an "all in" year for vikes, also sells some moss jersey and can see the WHY for them alot more- And "if" spending the money on favre/moss hurts the vikes long term with having rice or Ap bolting, than will also say it was a bad trade for vikes.. but we will not know that part of the trade for awhile..

in what way would have hurt us other then cap stand point? A three year deal for a great wr not showing effects of age and especially the way every player is cuttable with no guarantee contracts a no brainer to me. Especially with how bare the cupboard is at wr. Is it smarter to have three TEs in a system that doesnt fit them all making million dollar contracts over a wr who would instantly help the passing game? Cant justify that DB. The effort to make this offense great just isnt there and you know it. Defense always get first priority

hurts us in the cap huge.. and means at least 1-2 other players are not resigned.. and any deal now goes to next year so the amortization is always there, and will disagree strongly Moss isn't on the downside and IS SHOWING AGE, he is slower this year, drops balls and gone from 93 catches to 69 to 83 to 18( 57 catch pace).. to me its more a "name" and downside which IMo we have no need for, and a huge difference from 3 mill to 6.4 mill( and $9 mill/yr going forard he wants), you jsut can't gloss over that motown and 'pretend" moss has no Warts.. I mean if that was the case they are are getting more than a 3rd..: )

Not necessarily a bad thing. Sheed, Dez Clark, Olin, Roach, Grahm, Manning. Life could go on without any of those guys and most of them wouldn't command that big of deal anyway.
Not that I'm on the Moss bandwagon but the thought that making a big move to solidfy this team now is going to screw us in the years to come is kind of silly.

Shouldn't Garza be ready for the Bills game? That would be three weeks since his knee scope. I'm thinking he should at least be available for the Vikings home game.

I'll be interested to see how the o-line performs once Garza is back at RG.

We need to draft a premier LT in the 2011 draft. I don't think Omiyale is the answer. I'm willing to take a wait and see attitude to see how the o-line plays out and is playing in week 17, but even if Omiyale holds his own I don't think anybody is going to call him premier or top ten LT anytime soon. LT is the second most important position in football. You need a premier LT to protect your qb's blindside.

I'm not as huffy about Chris Williams at LG as some posters. If he works out and is indeed better suited for guard than tackle because he's a better run blocker than the Bears have one piece of the o-line puzzle.

That is what a lot of people said when we got Cutler, now the front office are morons because they mortgaged our future for one player. If we had gotten Moss, it would have been one OLDA$$ player. I do not believe that he will be that much of an upgrade to the Queens and believe they do NOT make that deal if they did not have their WR issues.

WR is not our problem, we need a healthy Oline and consistancy for the rest of the year. Adding a Mankins or someone pushing for a job on the bench somewhere would have been the move, not Moss. I was hoping we would go after Lutui in AZ during Camp when he lost his job. He has now regained that position with the Cardinals. He would have looked good in Bear colors.

We do not need another high paid WR, we need stout experienced O line.

I dont think we can ignore one position for another. It is all about balance. Of course I think we need resources to go to the oline. But we also need resources to help out the wr position. We need that trusted go to guy. A third rounder mortgaging the future? How many third rounders are contributing or even still on this team? Briggs? And guess what we are still alive. You arent finding a Moss caliber player in the third next season even with him aging. As to his salary cutting guys like Bullocks, Harris, Clark, etc...... backups shouldnt be paid more then minimum. Got to get the best starting lineup out there.
