Oh, I was thinking the same thing as I watched it. I didn't think our line in '06 was great, but seeing it just reminds me of how far our current group has to go just to be average.
Another thing I noticed when watching it was how much additional time Rex had to throw with the play action pass. Since we don't have an effective running game and at this point in the season, don't try to establish the run, this type of play won't work. Along with the screen pass, play action is an effective way to keep the pass rush at bay. Of course, you have to be able to run the ball first before it will work...but just sayin'.

This makes me laugh. Does Rex realize that backups don't get introduced, and there is little chance he'll see the field, therefore how does he think he's going to get booed? Save your dreams for your next career when you're actually relevant to something, Rex. When he was here, Rex took the Urlacher route several times, telling the media he didn't care about the fans. Personally I never booed Grossman as I felt it was counterproductive. But here we have a professional that readily admitted he was more concerned about his New Years' Eve plans than beating the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night in 2006, then got smoked on the field in one of his worst performances (of many) as a pro. So don't question the fans' right to boo you when you admitted you wouldn't work hard for your millions all the time.

and by the way the AZ game was not his 1st bad game, the Minni game was 50% comp rate and a 2int's to 1 td., hardly a good game. He basically went 2 good games(1 great), 1 bad game, 2 decent games(3 straight before AZ w/50+ comp % is hardly spectacular), 1 TERRRIBLE GAME.

I disagree I don't think he played his heart out; otherwise he would have improved on some basic skills, like taking a snap w/out fumbling, or not throwing into double/triple coverage, and pre reading coverages. I think he acted like a bunch of other over privelged athletes who never thought they had to work at the pro level b/c the job was handed to them(not saying that is all his fault, but that was my impression).
Are we talking about Rex Grossman or Jay Cutler? LMFAO!

either way.... love the guy, always will Cherish the 06' season (I was 4 in 85 so 06 is the only one I can really say I own as a fan)...
That was my #1 favorite season.
I agree with you Grizzly Bear as I was 5. But I still have a place for that '01 team as well. They did some amazing special things during that season as well.

Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.
