that you must turn everything into this personl crap on you.. i'm just tired of it, sorry

And find it hysterical somehow izzy at 11 tackles, 3.5 sacks in 6 games "just average", but alex is "great " at an avg of 5.5 sacks a year for his career. guess we shall agree to disagree a DE that avg's 38 tackles 5.5 sacks, 1/2INT and 2 FF a year is "great" or even very good. Alex was/is a solid DE, but not great or even very good, sorry and his stats are as said pretty easibly replaceable.

just seems IMO you over-exgggerate any bear player that leaves as somehow "great" and downplay any player here.

And please so not tell me how to respond either , thank you

And if you are comparing turner or grant to alex brown, you are comparing a 3rd string depth to a starter, is on you not me, sorry.. apples and oranges

    dabears54,

About former Bears' players who were great you know that there's absolutely no disputing the greatness of Airese Currie. Just kidding.

Seriously, that was one player I really pulled for because of his speed and what I envisoned he could do as a wr. Unfortunately he didn't have a football body and couldn't stay on the field.

For what it's worth I remember one 2006 pre-season game where he showed flashes of what he could do.

Spending a inordinate amount of time in one area is why the other aspects of the team suffer.
Wootton was a "first round type steal" that's why they got rid of Gilbert
Dump Anderson who let the team in qb pressures (nothing amazing but still SOMETHING) and pick up a cast off who they didn't even vett with a general workout to determine condition?!!
At least give lip service to the OL and bring in anyone.
All the hype and fluff and it's a total lie. Desperation abounds

Im also getting fed up with the excuse "we drafted so and so cause if it wasnt for an injury they are first round talent"

it is complete horse shit philosophy cause so far it has not worked at all. And to top it off we skip over oline everytime for the defense just to play this bs philosophy.

    Harrison-bust
    Bowman-bust
Moore-dont know yet but with all the db we have when the hell will he even see the field
Wooten-seems like they want everyone but this guy lmfao. Too early to tell but man how is this going to help that they want togive everyone a shot but him

Now what would happen if we started cycling through the offense which needs it more than just ONE specific area of the defense?
Add to the redshirt year these players get like Gilbert and now Moore they keep the jury out for so long it's a wonder any stick.
If they are really going to address the DL start with the 3-tech and Tommie and then look to upgrade interior and cut dead weight like Harrison.

Currie just an injury witinng to happen : )

Marcus robsinson was always the guy of the "what could have been" for me, if he doesn't get the knee injury think on brink of stardom.. and same for wendell davi, who the *&*&^&$^E%%* turf in philly Killed his career, just as he was breaking out into a top WR...

So they're gonna play an undrafted rookie over their draft pick Wooten? Wow, this has been some draft so far. Why the hell didn't they grab an o-lineman with either the Wooten or the LaFever picks? Or both? WTF were they thinking?

Since when did Angleo ever start thinking? Offensive line is bad shape, franchise qb sets NFL record for sacks in a half, gets a concussion and the next week we cut a DL for another DL with a off field issues. Then a few weeks later we cut this guy while watching a below average team coached by Pete Carroll kick our ass at home and sack the franchise qb 6 times. Yeah those undrafted, late round draft picks are really panning out.
