The tools and the tool belt.

The Bears have some spectacular tools in their arsenal. The potential is amazing, I sometimes think about what kind of play maker Johnny Knox could become. The double tandem of unharnessed speed that is Knox and Hester. Then to top it off, you have the reception capabilities of Olsen and Forte. Cutler as the accurate QB to deliver the ball... the tools are there, like nice shiny brand new Dewalt power tools.

Unfortunately, the tool belt has been misplaced and all these wonderful tools are left strewn about on the ground to get stepped on and kicked around. Where is the tool belt? What kind of tradesman goes to work without his tool belt? Is he going to walk around carrying them all? No, he'll drop them and ruin them.

That, my friends is what is happening to this team. The wonderful tools we have will get rusty and old, and never get used to their full potential. The tool belt is the offensive line that holds all these weapons in place and allows them to be unleashed on the enemy. That won't happen this year and probably not next year either.

This is a crime, Jerry Angelo left the tool belt home when neglected our offensive line.

Yeah, they have plenty of tools. Shame they went to college and got a degree in marketing instead of studying carpentry.

perfect analogy. Hell some of the tools don't even make it out of the shed(ie dez clark and DA) while other tools that are not usefull are kept in their front pocket(Manumauloamalalshalmalamadingdong, and DH).

I'll have to agree. These players are tools.

As grandpappy always said...better to be a tool in Chicago then a Cheesehead in Green Bay.

I'll take your word for it.

    1) I've never been IN Green Bay.

    2) There is a pretty glaring difference when one team is sucking due to injuries, and another team is sucking due to.... well.... sucking.

    #1, you inferred it.
