just saying.. and that doesn't change the point of giving up 300 yards a week would make team top 5 in the league as 300 yards is NOT tearing up a "D"
I would say the quality of teams the steelers have faced are better than the bears. The best runningback we faced may be Bradshaw or the skins back. The steelers have faced Ray Rice, Chris Johnson and Michael Turner, ronnie brown/Ricky Williams and even peyton hillis. I would say Tampa is the worst of the teams they played where we played the panthers and lions. Our stats are good because of these two teams that pretty much had no qb playing for either team. Worst yet we let Mike William carve up our secondary.

Unless I'm mistaken Jimmors, the San Diego Chargers were highly ranked coming into this week offensively AND defensively. Meanwhile, their record is poor.
I totally get seeking a silver lining when your favorite team is not playing well but those defensive numbers, while impressive, should be taken with a grain of salt. Yeah, the defense is playing solid football but there are two other phases to the game that have prevented the Bears from enjoying a better record.

PJ would be this like you saying the other week when vikes at 1-3, that the "D" was putting up good numbers and you were "not worried", and because the "D" on vikes ranked #3 all ok , and we shouldn't just take the "D' numbers with a grain of salt...: )

Even without the sack count, this defense really does deserve better from their GM, HC, OC, OL and, sad to say it given the beating he's taken in previous weeks, now their QB.
I've really enjoyed watching this D develop this season.
think izzy is really stepping up in the other side of peppers, he's been a beast the last few weeks, he was in mcnabb's face alot sunday, had the pass block that lead to the TD by moore and had a sack.. been what we have needed on the other side
Has 4.5 sacks now, 2 passes defended and 2 FF

I think that kinda validates his point. His D was good, but they still couldn't win games.

and he got mad when that exactpoint was made- and he thought his "D' playing well did validate the vikes would turn it around my point.. taking a 180 approach now, just found funny

1) No one should ever get mad at a message board. Honestly, that's laughable.
2) If I've told you once, I've told you a thousand times if you would like to discuss the Vikings there is a Rival Board to do so. Start a thread & ask me to respond to it nicely & we can discuss Viking football to your heart's content. I do not believe this is the place to discuss the Vikings.
3) I have absolutely no idea what you are trying to say. Proof read your posts, man! I'm not your 3rd grade grammar teacher! Type your points or arguments so people can understand them or don't type anything at all.

There are some disturbing passing numbers and they don't look as stout against the run but ultimately a defense is measured by how many points they surrender. I'll take 10.5 points a game every day of the week and twice on Sundays. Just trying to figure why good "D' numbers mean Vikes "fine" after week 2 ( despite 0-2)and no reason to panick, but for bears good "D' numbers meaningless( despite being 4-3 and could be 6-1 if not for called back winning td's to use your 'woulda coulda) and need to be taken with a grain of salt on Bears...and being 2nd in league in not allowing points needs to be taken with a grain of salt, but on vikes its a good indiction of no panick and you take it every day of week and twice on sunday's and something to hang hat on.

SD and NO's are both 1 and 3 respectively in D, but in scoring they are below 15. We are at least 7. Yards don't matter though. SD is tops in total O also, and passing. It's TD's that matter, and our D is not top 5, but in top 10, but the O is 22nd. Which means we are not going to win a lot of games. NE, Philly and the Jets are all top 10 in scoring.
