Couple questions.
Does the pass plays include the times that Cutler was sacked, as those were passing plays?
How about when Jay is "rushing" because he is running for his life. Where are those? They should be in the pass portion, as they were passing plays.
Either way, that is horrible balance.

i you feel like going through each play to each game to figure the scrambles.. have at it.. like all 32 teams i'm just doing by the plays listed as pass/rush
And as said in today's NFL of 'Flag football and touching the WR= pass interfernce.. high 50's and low 40's is the ratio most teams want... So disagree 62/38% is "horrible"... its just Ok and would rather see a 58/42 combo
no argument from me the 70's way too high and horrible, but not 62%

take the panther game out and its 63%- 37%( 19 pass and 42 rush in panthers game)
In a scientific experiment it would be ignored as an annomaly, where the control of the experiment [Collins instead of Cutler] was comprimised.

Well, its quite simple to do. Put Cutlers "rushes" into the pass play catagory (all but the one QB sneak and fumble he did Sunday) and take that out of the rushing catagory. Add in the 20 some sacks he got into the passing catagory and you are probably closer to that 70-30 mark.
But close to two thirds of the plays going as passes is horrible. If its not, then no one can complain that the Bears do not run enough.

In all 5 1/2 games Cutler played
181 pass attempts
plus
15 rushes
27 sacks
(adds up to 42 extra pass plays (took out the one QB sack))
223 passing plays.
add in Collin's pass plays (27)
And Hanie's (7)
that gives us 257 passing plays
Look at the rushing game now.
141 Rushes
90 by Forte
44 Taylor
4 Hester
1 Cutler
1 Hanie
1 Knox
That gives us a 257-141 ratio overall for the season. Thats 398 total plays
That means it is about 65% passing plays to 35% rushing plays for all Bears QBs
Take out the game where they had to do nothing but run because Collins couldn't throw a ball to save his life, and the percentages are drastically different.

Do I care? I don't follow those teams.
If you want to wait, because my break is almost over and I have to leave my computer soon, I can give it to you later tonight or sometime tomorrow.
But quick stats, without adding in sacks and QB scrambles
Indy 254-154
Pack 236-157
Saints 287-166
Bears have the second most pass plays and lowest rush plays

So manning has 10 rushes and 16 sacks.. making the ratio 68% pass 32 % rush
packers rodgers 14 sacks and 26 rushes.. making it 70% pass and 30% rush
saints brees 11 sacks 9 rushes- making it 68% pass 32 % rush
So that "That means it is about 65% passing plays to 35% rushing plays for all Bears QBs"
hmmmmmmm all all these OC's off their rocker? or is the NFL changing?
saints
