ESPN Insider: Chris Williams to the Bench.
Michael C Wright [ESPN Insider]
"The latest move to guard hasn't paid dividends for Williams, who began the season as Chicago's starting left tackle. Once considered by the staff to be the blindside protector of the future, Williams hasn't demonstrated any consistency as a tackle or guard. Interestingly, the staff called Williams "stout" as a potential run blocker, but he proved anything but in the first quarter Sunday when
Albert Haynesworth drove him into quarterback
Jay Cutler for a sack. With Roberto Garza expected to return next week, it will be interesting to see what starting five the club rolls out against the
Buffalo Bills. Don't be surprised if Williams isn't included."

What a waste. Any word if Louis will be back in the lineup Windy? I'd like to see him try LG.

he was a bum on draft day. Just because Shanahan talked to him Kiper hyped him up into the first round. Before Shanahan talked to him he had a third round grade on him.
Oh well at least they see their mistake and they arent going to force it out there to make the team worse

well he wasnt available so Im not going to cry about him. But I did like Alberts and my mock did have Mendenhall in first and Nicks in the second. The shit part is we could have had nicks in the 5th over our bench TE lmfao what a joke.

no its a business we dont know if it is in their budget to fire him and hire someone else. And becareful what you ask for if Ruskell is truly the heir apparant. Remember this is the org that had to pay a company to find us JA. They dont know any better and could just accept Ruskell.

He may not be a world beater, but Williams is still better than Omiyale at LT IMO. Benching him would be dumb.
Sorry, I trust what I see on this one. He's not as shitty as some of you make him out to be.
Plus, this is just a speculative article.
