Chris Williams is clearly the most talented player we have on the line, and if he isn't injured anymore, why isn't he playing next week?
I think the plan is to keep him at LG and have Garza at RG. C Williams should be playing LT.

And leave the player credited with the most sacks at LT? sheesh

I can see how, the number of sacks credited to a player would be hard to argue with, except that an O line is more one system, than individual players. This line needs time to become cohesive and stop the bleeding, not more shuffling.
I think that plays a far larger role in why OMG is at LT and CW at LG.

I think the worst personnel decision Lovie Smith has made in his time as coach is the hiring of Mike Martz as offensive coordinator. Ron Turner at least called some running plays to mix up the play calling, though his pass play calling sucked something royal. Everyone knows the Bears game plan - Cutler is going to go under center and throw from either the ace backfield or the I-Formation and chuck it mostly vertically. This knowledge gives the opposition plenty of ammunition approximately 75% of the time to simply blitz and challenge the offensive line. Now, if we had something better than a 3rd Grade offensive line, I might be mute on this subject, but I'm just stating an observation I've made here.

Agreed, if they are trying to win now.. having your best players out there should help.

Granted he played well there in a small sample size, but what is it makes you think he is the right man for that position or is it.. he is the only option?

the irony is the last time we ran this system we had equally less talent on the oline. I dont get it why they skimp out on the oline in this system out of all things lol. 7 step drops lets put practice squad talent out there. BS offense like Turner lets go get a solid oline lol

That was the underlying message there.. at least someone got it!
But, dear Allah.. how many OL sucks, who do we blame do we need. They don't have Talent, that's the GM's fault.. Next Question.

It's a bit of both. He is the best player on the line IMO. Even if it's a crappy unit, I think he's an ok LT. He's very aware of what's going on. His kick-slide is smooth. His technique is solid. He needs to get a little stronger.
They need to move him to LT to A. Find out if he's really the future there. B. If he is, let him develop there. They're not going to find out how he is after 5 or 6 career starts at the position.
Also, Omiyale doesn't appear to be a long term answer there. Put the proper guy at the most critical pass blocking position on the line.
