    Wale released

    Bring him back! I just read on PFT that Adewale Ogunleye has been released by the Texans...bring him back!

    from PFT: "Once one of the dominant pass rushers in the NFL, the career of defensive end Adewale Ogunleye is coming to a conclusion.

    As first reported earlier today by John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, the Texans have cut Ogunleye, replacing him with practice-squadder Tim Jamison.

    Ogunleye, whose tenure with the Bears expired with his contract in March, was signed after the Texans lost defensive end Connor Barwin for the season in Week One.

    Ogunleye appeared in four games, getting one tackle, one assist, and zero sacks.

    The 33-year-old spent four seasons with the Dolphins and six with the Bears. He has 67 career sacks."

    You mean signing the guy that just got cut because he got outperformed by the guy we cut for under-performing just a few weeks ago isn't a good idea?

    That and he couldn't outplay the guy on the Texans. Not to mention he's gettin' up there in age and was over rated on this team....

    That being said he's still better than the two stumblebums we picked up in the meantime. Could be a decent backup esp since Izzy has sealed up his job.

    I think it is a gamble worth taking. He did well in our system and with Peppers on the other end I think he can be a help.

    I made note of Manderson's play the other night. He had a nice sack, but it was a pure speed move. He hasn't really developed anything new.

    Wale was very good for a long time, but I think his best (or even better) days are behind him.
