yeah, I've been left scratching my head a few times over the years, but that go's back to the whole "bennefit of the doubt"... I chalked it up to a good coach just having off years like players sometimes do.... but its looking more like he was more lucky early on than good.
Lucky, maybe. But he also had a better staff back then.

I'm sorry for giving him the Benefit of the doubt.
Word latley is that Cowher's #1 choice of team when/if he comes back is Chicago depending on how things play out....
Dear god,

FIRE LOVIE SMITH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LIKE... NOW!!!!!!!
It looks like I have come to a thread that puts me into a very difficult situation on whether I should do a 180 on my posts and totally disagree with grizz just to instigate meaningless pissing match or agree with him and high five the crap out of every one of his posts where he rips the Lovie Smith administration.

I just like seeing grizz vent once in a while. lol Actually I am more proud of him taking a big step towards wanting Lovie Smith gone. lol

I believe the thing is- there is no one absolute moment you say "time to fire them" it's a progression of these bonehead moves (coaching AND mgmt). When things are bad the mistakes compound. I see a staff with a very stubborn and myopic view on what their philosophy of football is. Which is compounded even more because of a lack of a professional distance to view thing objectively and that they are all buddies.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.
Restore the roar!

They would, but do you think Lovie is qualified to overrule Martz? Do you think Lovie is smart enough to know that he's not qualified to make that decision, so he doens't micromanage?
