Other then that, i can agree with their top picks, though i would go Rice, Montana, Payton, Brown, LT...but i think Payton and Brown are to close to call, i wouldnt be opposed to them being switched, but i have to put Payton ahead of Brown, being a Bears fan and all.
I can provide a solution. Insert Butkus.

He'll always be #1 to me, but I can't argue against the four picked ahead of him.

Unless of course we include other aspects like, class, personal dignity, courage, sportsmanship,....

I think it hurts Butkus not having alot of film on him. In the 80's everything started being recorded and kept, so everyone see's highlights of LT where you only see certain clips of Butkus.

Keep in mind, though, that Don Hutson was voted ahead of Butkus on the list. Hutson played in the 1930s-1940s, when there was very little film coverage of pop culture and sports. My response to the reason they must have thought LT was better than Butkus, who, let's remember, was voted the greatest tackler and linebacker of all time on the NFL Network, was that LT was flashier and played his position more like a DE than a MLB. That's not knocking LT, because he was a force, but I think Butkus was much better.
