Running it- even if ineffective will reduce the many,many negative plays and even though the drive stalls (just like it does when passing as well) gives the defense more field position to work with. Plus keeping the franchise qb upright should be of paramount importance.

It's a no-win situation. I mean, I would prefer to have another head coach who would build a solid foundation for the Bears, like an actual offense to go along with the stout defense. Instead, we have to play the "Catch 22" game, where we want the Bears to win, but if they do, Lovie Smith gets to keep his job, and we certainly don't want that either.
