Bills fans have got to be hating it, 3 straight weeks they were close but lost. If the Bears can win the North then anything can happen when you get to the playoffs, I'm happy to see them at 5-3 but that Wash loss still hurts.

Today was an eye opener. We saw some play calls that were perhaps a revelation to hopefully warding off some of the sacks we were incurring.

The Bears faced two weak defenses (Was. ranked 31 and Bills ranked 26 overall) in a row and still can not run or pass with big yards. Not to mention the Bills offense is ranked 26 and they still scored 19 on our 8th overall ranked d. What do you think is going to happen when this team runs up against a high ranking defense and or offense? I am worried what will happen when we are against strong d.

Let's see...New England doesn't have a great defense...the Jets have been suspect, having given up like 300 yards through the air a time or two this season...the Vikings have no pass rush, and if we play our cards right with a balanced attack, we may be able to win there...and then there's the Lions, who always find a way to lose. The only team I really worry about is Philadelphia, but even then, I'm not that scared.

I am more worried about the sacks and rushing yards per attempt.

We seem to have solved a lot of our issues with sacks yesterday by balancing out our attack.

Some of those rush attempts were so pitiful they were hard to watch! Luckily we broke a couple and Cutler added some yards.

From here on out the Bears face two Defenses that rank in the bottom half of the league. I am not sold on the offense improvments, IF they play well against the Vikes. Then I will have more faith in the offense. But if they stink to high heavens then my gut is right.

In this 5-3 stretch we've only faced teams .500 or better 4 times, we beat 1 of them. In this next stretch we face 5 team w/a winning record; If we are lucky that will be 2-3 wins. The 2 teams w/losing records are Minny and the Lions, neither are going to be easy wins, look for us to lose 1 of them. We will probably be right around 8-9 wins.

That was a good sign, that was probably the first game this year where I felt like it wasn't going to be a QB sack on every pass play. Cutler also moved well in the pocket, his running went for several big first downs, it makes defenses pay attention to that.
