The defeat and cost is retaining the whole crew again next year. Sorry I didn't specify.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

To relish the win is fine but some of us are looking further into the season. Looking down the road the squeek by victory are less likely to happen. I would say it is like being on a sinking ship and all we can do is sit and watch the chaos. The o-line is irratic, the running game is next to gone and the d is slipping right before our eyes. I am glad they pulled out a win, but it is like watching Hulk Hogan almost lose to Bill Gates. If the Bears offense holds up against a stronger d then I will relish the win more and give the offense the high five for improving and not getting our QB killed.

I never believe in any win feeling like a loss. A win is a win is a win. Some are pretty while some are not so pretty. You never know - we may go and blow out the Vikings next week.

Look at it this way... regardless of whom they played, etc...
The Bear are playing well enough to win most games. They might be just barely be doing it, but they ARE getting it done. They are playing well enough to be 5-3, regardless of the issues or problems they have.
Those who credit it all to luck, or other teams bad play, have OBVIOUSLY never played the damn game themselves. "lucky" is a blown call or 2 that goes your way. "Unlucky" is a blown call or 2 that go the other way.
"Good" is being able to have a 5-3 record IN SPITE of the obvious problems.
Who in the hell would ever think that DB54 provided BALANCE to this place?

We constantly banter back and forth on the issue of Lovie Smith and Mike Martz and their decisions and play calls as they pertain to our personnel. It might have been ugly at times on Sunday, but that game was won based on good coaching. Mike Martz, regardless of whether the run worked or not, ran the ball nearly as many time as he called for a pass. I think the lights have come on in Halas Hall; let us see, then, if these fellows learned from this new piece of history that running the ball, regardless of whether we put up big yardage, is the cure to this offense, and in particular the offensive line's, woes.
