Chris Williams cannot play LG/Is he a Bust?
I watched him with a microscope yesterday as it was a point of interest.
Chris Williams was horrible yesterday and we won that game despite the way he played.
His run blocking was actually okay when he did not have to pull, with the exception of the Taylor TD, and he had some good push.
It was his pass pro that was absolutley terrible and he was routinely beat up on by a guy, Kyle Williams, that looked like a fat Sam Wise Gamgee.
He is starting to look like a bust.

Agreed was watching that area too and he consistently was getting driven backwards.

Is? He WAS a bust when we drafted him. Omy is took his LT job, what does that tell you?

No I am not, I save my writing for rants on the internet.
While we are on the topic, Chris Williams was terrible I could almost see that he did not care as he simply was getting blown back into the backfield.
There is no way a man that is 6'6" 320lbs should be as weak as he is and I do not think it is strength I think it is all based on toughness and desire.

that's pretty much what I was thinking... regardless of what his assignment is, getting blown off your feet every third play is NOT acceptable... not by any means... and it's a straight physical deal...
he could be the most knowledgable lineman in the game.... when your out muscled your done. when you can't get leverage, your done.

he is a JA first round draft pick. Legend has it they are guaranteed busts

He looks terrible at guard, as expected. He's not a phone booth blocker. He's not a good run blocker. They brought the guy in to be a pass blocking specialist. I have no idea why he's at guard when he's a better LT than Omiyale. I'm not saying he'd be a superstar LT by any means, but at this point, that's the only spot for him on the line. He's not one of these first round tackles that can find success at guard. Those guys are stronger than he is.
