This team needs a full scale cleansing and we need to remove some serious cancers from this team.
As much as I love a couple of these coaches we need everyone gone and a culture change.
I think Jurko said it best, the Packers are very good, the Vikings will be good when Childress is gone and the Lions are building something good. The Bears need to improve or they are going to be 4th for awhile.

First, good thread, even though it is hypothetical.
Second, I feel exactly like Grizz on the next coach's staff. I don't want to let Toub get away at a minimum, but I also feel the same about the rest of the staff that he does.
Third, I think the most important part of this puzzle is probably higher up then HC, it's GM. I'll go out on the limb and say that we clean house. If one goes, so goes the other. We had BETTER NOT keep Ruskell as GM. That would be very disappointing. I'm not sure who we could realistically target for GM, but JA isn't cutting it.
Fourth, I think the GM thing should come before HC, so the feelers really should be out there right now. I'm not sure that Phillips is doing that, or is even capable of doing that effectively, so perhaps the house cleaning should go higher.
If that fourth condition happens, then we can pretty much kiss the Cowher pipe dream goodbye, perhaps even if the third condition happens.

JA and Ruskell are under contract through 2013. If the Bears can those two and Lovie this year they are eating a boatload of money. I just don't see that happening.

Well, we are playing hypothetical debating here. I know many that say Lovie won't get canned for the same reason. I'm just playing the game started in this thread.
If we are talking likelihood/probabilities, then this entire thread may not be valid, sadly.

Money talks indeed, and who knows what will happen next year, but the almighty dollar will most likely continue to Trump what NEEDS to be done in favor of what makes the most sense financially.
