That is what kills me, if you have a shot at an upgrade, you should take it, unless, you have people with (4) or (5) years of contract left. They do it with players...!!! Hopefully the new guy will keep Babich...LOL...!!!
In a perfect world, this is what I would do:
I would kick Angelo and Lovie to the curb before the next game. With that being said, I would have an agreement with say, Cohwer, to come in and coach the last eight games of the season. This way Cowher has (8) REAL games to evaluate the roster. He would have the opportunity of a half of a season head start. Imagine the information that would be available to him, not just the "training camp" fluff...!!! I do realize that the planets need to be aligned for this to happen, but, it would be ideal...

this is the same organization that paid a million bucks to find a gm in the first place lol.

In a perfect world, zombie George Halas would coach this team….

I want someone that is willing to trade up for a better player.

I would like them to keep Toub, Tice, Rod and perhaps a few of his assistants. What happens depends on if JA is slowly giving the reigns over to Ruskell-something I do not want to see. A cleaning from the top would most likely be the best bet. I'm afraid though it will be a slow drawn out process-something which I don't think will be good for longer term growth and rebuilding.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

Actually if I'm J.A. I'm trading the first and second every year for either more late picks or players.
if he's money in rounds 3-6 than stock up on picks in rounds 3-6. . .
they're not getting top money, plus J.A. has a better success rate at finding Quality talent in those rounds.
that or we could just fire the guy I suppose....

Yes, sitting right at the top of the division and fighting for a chance to make it to the playoffs is the perfect time to fire your head coach and GM and bring in new people...
