I firmly believe that the 2nd half of the season is going to melt down and Lovie Smith is going to be fired and Jerry Angelo is going to retire.

He has been an understudy to Ossie Newsome and been part of a couple of great years of drafts. Jim Harbuagh’s brother John, who coaches the Ravens, would provide a connection between the two.

HC Jim Harbaugh [Stanford]
The Bears need someone with intensity and energy that can come in and energize the team and the fan base. Harbaugh runs a pro style offense, and is demanding of his QBs, which we need to get the most out of Jay Cutler.

I believe the Bears will be active in the 2nd tier of free agents to fill many of the holes left by the Angelo draft years.

WR Braylon Edwards [NY Jets] 5 years 32 million/ 14 guaranteed

I know he is inconsistent, but he has the size 6’3” 220lbs that the Bears need and he is almost guaranteed to hit the market and be in the Bears price range.

OG/OT Ray Willis [Seattle] 4 years 15 million/ 6 guaranteed

Willis has the size [6’6” 315lbs] to play all over the Bears OL and has started at OG and RT for the Seahawks.

DT Ray McDonald [San Francisco] 5 years 20 million/ 8 guaranteed

McDonald is a pass rushing 3-4 DE for the 49ers who could play the DT position. He is very disruptive and can push the pocket.

CB Richard Marshall [Carolina] 5 years 20 million/ 12 guaranteed

Undersized, but physical and tough. He can come in and start at one CB positon.

Draft

*Trade: The Bears trade 1[12] to the Texans for 1[20] and 3[84]. The team is not important, but I think we should look to trade down so we can recoup some of the picks that we lost in the Jay Cutler years.

1[20] OT Gabe Carimi [Wisconsin] 6’7” 328lbs.

The Bears need a culture change on the offensive line, as well as some youth, size and talent. Carimi may not have the elite athletic ability of Michael Oher, but he has exactly what the Bears need on the OL. He has exceptional size and strength and can flat out run block, he has a blue collar work ethic, unlike Chris Williams, and he is a nasty fighter. He reminds me of Matt Light and could start for the Bears at OT or OG.

2[44] C Stefen Wisniewski [Penn State] 6’3” 308lbs.

Olin Kreutz is done and looks lost on the field. The Bears need someone who can not only come in and physically hold up, but can also lead what will be a very young OL. Wisniewski, who’s dad and uncle played in the NFL, comes from great bloodlines and is one of the most technically sound OL prospects in the draft.

3[76] CB Marcus Gilchrist [Clemson] 6’ 190lbs.

The Bears need a changing of the guard at CB and to add some man coverage ability. Gilchrist has the speed and bump and run ability that the Bears CBs are severely lacking.

3[84] WR Greg Little [UNC] 6’3” 220lbs.

Again the movement away from the Smurfs and too some bigger targets for Jay Cutler continues. Little has been suspended for the year by the NCAA, but he has elite physical tools and UNC has produced some serious WR talent in the last few years.

4. DT Sione Fua [Stanford] 6’2” 306lbs.

The Tommie Harris era should mercifully end and Marcus Harrison is making it clear that he does not belong on the field. Fua is a hard nosed grinder in the middle, who uses power and strength to move the pocket.

5. DE Brooks Reed [Arizona] 6’3” 262lbs.

There is not a lot of reasonable depth in the Bears DE core as Barry Turner sees time in games. Brooks reed is a high energy and intensity guy that can fit in on special teams as well as in a rotation. Could be the Bears Brian Robison.

6. FB Anthony Sherman [UConn] 5’11” 250lbs.

The Bears need someone who can smash the ball up between the tackles and lead block on short yardage plays. I am excited to see what Harvey Unga brings to the table, but Sherman is an old school full back that can play some special teams.

Great Job Windy

I know people would not be high in Braylon Edwards, but he has the size we need and he is in our price range.

I just do not see us signing a guy in the Vincent Jackson price range.

And no 'Sheed and Wolfe!

Considering Carimi has played himself out of the first round this year, and Wiz has locked down the #1 C spot with my guy O'Dowd has once again coming up wincing this season, you can probably switch 1 and 2 at this point. Gabe has an absolute ton of talent and upside, but he got worked by Clayborn and that's what he will be up against every week as a pro.

Please say no to WR Braylon Edwards I have seen him play every week.All he does is drop passes all day............................................... ...........
